Salut! I need some help with ISS list for local ITS tournament (I do not know yet about missions, which will be there).

    Open in Infinity Army

    This is it.

I am curious about Sensor and Sniffer options on Zhanying and Kanren respectively (i know, that there will bee Ariadna players as well). Do i need it? Also, is it a good idea to take Sensor on Imperial Agent, Crane Rank and switch Spitfire for Combi?

    Also, i have general questions:
    • Do i have enough specialists in this list?
    • Do i need to include Ninja w/ Hacking device?
How well this list will perform against:
    • an enemy "spam" army?
    • an enemy "elite" army ?
    • massed Camouflage?
    • massed Perimeter weapons?
    • TAGs?

Okey first of all, without knowing if the mission is specialist based or kill for kill i will say that a ninja KHD is always usfull.

My main regard on this list are two, first too muck killers on the same group. Su Jian Crane, Rui Shi is too much. I should consider swaping the Pheasnt for 3 xelestial guard one of them leutinent to get more orders and also move one of the heavy dudes on group 2 ( but this is personal preference).Did you considered swaping the Crane and both Lu Dan and Rui Shi for a Hsien Zhanying Haris. The second regret is the complet lack of reactive defense, no Mad Traps no ARO, just Kuang Shis that you can't sacriface to fast beacuse you don't have too much orders.

For kill to kill mission i see the list, for heavy button pressing no.

    Also about your questions:

against Spam will work if you can alpha strike with the kitty, but you lack ARO or reactive deffens so you will have problems against some spam ( tipical Caledonia chain spam)

Against Camo: will work with Rui Shi/Lu Dan but you don't have a lot of orders to discover shot. Maybe picking a Sensor is a good idea playing the kanren

Against Elite: in this case ddwpend of the kind of elite. With pain trains a Su Jian can be a pain killing them one by one. Against heavy monsters ( Aquiles, Avatars etc) can work if you focus in his order pool and just ignore as possible the big guy ( it work with me, ofc if the Rui Shi can see Aquilles out of cover try to kill it).

Against perimeter weapons: no problem with Kanren holos and kuang Shis.

When you know the missions ask again and we will try to help.

The list is okay. An all comers. But it look a bit inconsequent. Not order heavy with 13 orders. Like Krossaks said before, it will run quickly out of orders if you use your Kuangs aggressiv. It has two (three with the Kuangs) main-attack pieces - the cat and the crane, the lt. choice is good, because he has CoC as back up - but you lack specialist, they should not only exist in the list, they should do things in the match - the only one that is fast and durable enough is the sopho and you don´t want to loose her fast. The Pheasant you will not send, because he is your back up lt. and the Hacker struggels to get to objektives out of your deploment zone.

    No.
    Yes.

Could be okay, even you have a lack of ARO-pieces.
Could be okay, you can annoy them with your Kuangs.
Kaungs can be handy here, the MSV drone too - but no special benefit.
Not good - I think. Kuangs can help here, but if they are gone, your order are gone too.
Not good - they will outshoot you.

    Something what I think:

The Crane shines more in a CG-Link.
The Sopho works best with Yud Bots - she is precious, so only use for object-grabbing in late game.
What you plan with the MK12 Drone?
The Kanren Minelayer has no Anti-Personal-Mines in its profile - he puts out sniffers and you have no sensor (with it, it can be very good vs camo).
I would try to put the Kuangs into a group of its own, maybe with the Pheasant because he is free agent.

Well, so far I can say this:

I'd suggest trying to find some spare 2 points somewhere, as that'd let you take that Pheasant up a notch and give it a pair of MadTraps to play with, since you've already committed to the high cost profiles. Otherwise... I'd say take the Boarding Shotgun version instead maybe?

Also, I see there's a Kanren Minelayer. And the only thing it can lay is Sniffers... so getting a Sensor in there would be a decent idea... and guess who can get you both a Sensor AND save you two points for those MadTraps I mentioned? Downgrading the Crane into a MULTI-Rifle. Otherwise, I'd make the Kanren into an FO, or... again, this would also require you to find 2 more points somewhere, give it a KHD. That would cost you the same as a Ninja KHD, so... pick whichever one you prefer at that point.

Also, on the topic of lacking ARO capabilities... Xi Zhuang is an option. MadTraps are arguably more dangerous than CrazyKoalas ( Well, they threaten more things than Koalas. Koalas scare 1W skimirshers. MadTraps can make a TAG pause for reconsideration. ).

As for clearing perimeter weapons... well... Su-Jians aren't really scared of CrazyKoalas all that much TBH. You could simply run the Su-Jian into a cluster of them, make a dodge roll and see what happens. If you failed your dodge, you still have ARM5 and 2STR to soak up said Koalas ( Remember, even if the Su-Jian is immune to Shocks insta-kill effect, it still negates his V:NWI skill. ), and if you succeed the dodge... you succeeded the dodge. I wouldn't risk like this against MadTraps though. If you see some of them on the board, I'd say most reliable method is to kill their owner before they can be put into Standby.

    Can't say much more TBH.

Lies. Su-Jian is entirely unaffected by the FAQ. STR treat all Shock Effect as Normal Ammo, Normal Ammo have no special effects. Don't go around telling people that their Su-Jian/Unidrons can't use their Valor skills. You're spreading falsehoods.

I've just come from another post where people came to the exact opposite conclusion, that V:Dogged and V:NWI skills do still get cancelled by Shock munnitions even if the unit otherwise has some form of Shock Immunity ( Such as having 2+ Wounds. ).

    I am getting confused again.

    You're not wrong.

But the thing is, this part here is terribly written:

One could be forgiven to think that the "red box" still applies, despite those 3 bullet points listed here (and it does, mind you) but the 3rd point is dumb because it is only at that point CB decides to tell us the reason WHY it is immune to straight to dead effect is not that it's because it's STR, it's because STR treats Shock as Normal, so therefore the Shock rule isn't relevant to begin with, which is why the "red box" suddenly stops mattering, because it doesn't apply to Normal Ammo. I still don't understand why they have written this in such an awkward way.

Sheesh that's some confusing rule writing.
Glad we cleared this up though.

    Sure thing! :)

Although just to be clear, if you actually do have Shock Immunity, Total Immunity and Bio Immunity then they also treat that as Normal Ammo, which means Shock does not disable V:NWI/Dogged. I'm just saying because this part confused me a bit:

Kanren minelayer without Sensor profiles, are a wasting points and sinergie. For thaht, just run FO, Killer hacker or mad traps profiles if you don't go to discover/hunt CAMO/TO hidden deployed.
About this list, you can run with 3 punch machines, smoke+vsm2 with assited fire + shock ammo. Su Jian as a strong active piece, and kuangshi for clean your way of mines and traps. You can run with Celestial guard sniper too over 1/2 Rui Shi, or add a crane spitfire over the Su Jian and playing to changin fireteams with command tokens, or change the 1/2 Rui Shi to Garuda siptfire. Here you have a strong list on ISS can offer to players, 19-20 orders in 2 groups with a strong active profiles punching hard.

I have to agree on the number of orders. If you are going to have Kuang Shi, you should have like 16 orders. You could almost just go down to a limited Insertion list there.

To some of your questions, I really like Zhanying with sensor. Especially the Madtraps one. Sometimes leading a Wu Ming link or in a Haris with Hsien. Sensor is very useful. The the FO Remote is just as good if not better at it. It works well with the minelayer Kanren. I just used it to pretty good effect but that's because I knew I was going up against Ariadna camo.

Without knowing the missions, it's really hard to give advice. But a Ninja KHD is never a bad choice.
