Is the game getting too complex?

So, one ITS mission (for those playing ITS), out of 26 this is an issue, and the few profiles that have access to AHDL ammo naturally? Notice I didn't say it didn't happen, the point was that it happens so rarely that it's not a good example of a problem with the rules in the system, nor is it surprising there's confusion as to how it should be played. You guys are illustrating my point of how rare the situation comes up.

@RogueJello It's not about that specific question I brought up, but about how we as a community have placed the mantle of Rules Arbiter on IJW's shoulders, and CB's silence on rules issues has only reinforced that situation. They're silence implies that they think he's doing just fine, but if that's the case then they shouldn't contradict him.

At the very least it doesn't make the game less complex.

Any problem that brings the game to a screeching halt is bad. And none of the ITS scenarios should create situations that unclear. That they do is a problem.

You're never going to have a system where all possible issues are resolved. In nothing else terrain is always going to be a source of problems.

A better question is how common are these issues, and in this case I think it's not common. I'd make a similar statement about a few of the other complaints I've heard voiced indicating the game has problems, such as shooting front to back, and sticking people into walls.

They've been made to seem more important by constant discussion and debate, rather than actual impact on the game.

@jimbo slice I'll agree that I'd like to see CB take a more active role in rules problems, but for the most part they seem to resolve the serious issues, and ignore the rest.

Hunting Party. In Hunting Party I prefer Wildcat Engineers with Palbots or Carlotta with Moriarty as specialists because you can spend turn 3 ungluing everything. Well you could.

Also matters for the new IA Engineer.

CB being silent on new rules could also be that a new edition is coming out soon. Why answer when the answer might be totally different later on and cause more problems.

Engage is people's choice, but if I run a Samaritan, I can force the "shooting people in the back from the front" issue every game, and it's such bullshit.

Unlikely, I haven't seem much difference in their response time when N3 first came out, and now.

It's almost like CB forgot Super Jump existed when they made that FAQ ruling. It's trivially easy to set up the situation with any of the 6-X MOV Super Jumpers out there.

    Tried that.

Got a snarky, shitpost that sounded like 'Fuck Off' to me by the Brand Ambassador.

Still trying to regain give-a-damn for the game.

    Very meta-dependent.

I have lots of Nomads and Ariadna locally. ADHL and Akrylat-Kanone are favored anti-HI/TAG tools here.

The FAQ doesn't update that often, and oftentimes ignores problems for literal years.

I don't think they should slow the release schedule, they need to generate income after all. However what they need is a community manager able to work closely with the rule creators, who would transmit the players feedback in order to get answers.

I think it's worth pointing out that Engineer/Doctor are treated differently in the G: Servant rule than any other "multi-activation" skill in the game. They explicitly note that the controller declares the skill and the servant executes it, which is (and always has been, since the original Human Sphere) a unique scenario.

Unless you know something the rest of us don't I've made the more likely prediction.

I mean, when you end with a question mark, that's an invitation for a response, generally.
