As far as I am aware in regards to Tohaa, what was said was that they were struggling with the faction's identity and that they wanted to take some time to think about it and make sure that when they were brought back in the future they would be properly represented and made interesting for new and veteran players alike. This seems to be the general mindset for any army that is retired nowadays. That they will take some time off and will be brought back eventually with new models and maybe new design paradigms to set them apart. If we look at shasvastii as a standard for "CB taking their time to do something until they actually know what to do with it", I actually think them retiring Tohaa could be a good thing. I would rather wait three to four years for a fun, well-design and interesting army than have some canned shit regurgitated every other year.
That's probably the quote I remembered and the "so, tl;dr, they do not have a clear idea how to change Tohaa so that it fits N4" might've been one of the user replies. Like I said, I did not have the time or the spoons to dig it up and stated so, to mark that my recall might have been unreliable. Damn, dude, I envy you the eidetic recall that allows you to perfectly quote the phrasing of CB Staff from posts about a year old. How does it feel to be so amazing?
Ah yes, if the enemy tag is in the ZOC of the same enemy repeater as your hacker... I forgot you could do that.
@Nuada Airgetlam’s lies, whining and self-aggrandisement are why so many people avoid this place. He is cancer.
Had my first game of 15 order mode last night over tabletop sim. This scale feels good. As much as I love them, never liked the idea of a horde of angry sword dudes going on a top secret mission but the trope of one "tough guy" on a special forces team is pretty common and enjoyable at least in the movies I've seen (and so the sum total of my special forces experience!). Enjoyed the game more than many games where I had to face against the full might of bodies and markers. That said, between tohaa delet and 15 orders dumping on my nomad project I don't really have a main faction anymore so the adjustment is going to be awkward. I feel all viewpoints should be open to discussion, its the dogpiling that I disagree with. Not really going to buy the "its ok this time" line, either engage with the arguments productively (arguments that I might add that I disagreed with ITT) or just ignore them without the vitriol.
Eh? Forum has a search function. Perfect quotes are a few keystrokes away. No recall required. And no spoons required either. Here are HellLois' posts, https://forum.corvusbelli.com/search/48598676/ 11 pages to scroll through. Not hard. ETA: I'll wait for more information before forming an opinion on the 15 unit limit. I suspect that there is a bit under the hood in N4's rules adjustments. Certainly more than what we have seen.
I would certainly hope so. I'd imagine there are a decent number of things that will make that 15 Trooper limit feel less confining.
Yeah, it's totally not because of toxic, drive-by trolling schmucks like you who dogpile their seething hate on anyone who happens to say anything different than what the hive mind happened to agree upon. Nu-uh. Finally put me on an ignore list if you're oh-so-aggravated by what I say. At this point it's some kind of masochistic self-flagellation if you force yourself to read all I write. And if anyone is the cancer of this community, it's disgusting people like you and all the buddies who like and ape posts and insults like those. I might be wrong, I might misremember or misunderstand things sometimes. My intuitions and the things I'm wary of may or may not turn out the way I expected them to. But I don't fucking stalk people all over the forum telling everyone how they are "cancer". It takes a special kind of a person to do that. [Edited for typos]
Can confirm, the robustness of this forum's ignore function really gives people no excuse to put up with shit that annoys if you don't want to. It's literally no skin off anyone's nose and produces a better experience. And hey, you can always Show Ignored Content if you're feeling masochistic.
Damn, we're down to pre-schooler levels now? Stalks and attacks me constantly, smears me in front of other people. I react, point out his shitty behavior... "Why are you reading when I talk shit about you behind your back!? You're asking to be offended!". Not the sharpest tool in the shed, oh no. Do not presume you have anywhere close to the capacity to armchair psychoanalyze me :D
