It's labled as an Aristeia release not an Infinity release, so I'm assuming plastic. If it is metal I might use it for my Guilang sniper as I've already converted that mini into a combi Guilang.
Spartimus, Clockwork Parvati, Hexxer Witch, and Pirate Gata were all labelled as Aristeia releases and were all metal.
That answer is 2. Tai Sheng NCO Mk12, HMG, Tinbot, Haidao, and Shang Ji HRL. Sure, in theory you could stuff 4 in there, but then you're losing out on at least one Wildcard.
I think the implication from some posters has been that all CB *should* release is HMG's and combis because why would anyone take any of the other zuyong profiles... My very first link had tai sheng, bsg, missile, HMG and Haidao. But I guess I'm just a scrub.
Only model that raised my eyebrow for the starter was the Liu Xing hacker. I guess it can lead a double life as a generic BSG Liu Xing... But if I'm going to throw 38 points at one, it'll probably be the Multi, D-charges, Specialist Operative version.
Yeh, I would have preferred the multi but the bsg is ok. I know CB love sculpting hackers. It's a Shame heavy infantry hackers get such a raw deal.
At least the majority in IA (not the Liu Xing, though) have access to a linkable TinBot B. Which can be stacked with Fairydust for a -9 to enemy hackers before any other modifiers... EDIT for clarity - Yes, still just a -6 vs KHDs because they ignore Firewall.
Obviously that is only an issue if you have AHDs or KHDs in your Zuyong link, but nobody takes the Shang Ji AHD, and your Haidao KHD should probably be safely Cybermasked until you need them if they're not in your Zu link. There's a viable argument for having the KHD in the link itself, but I feel like the MSV2 version is much stronger offensively since if you need to hack someone, you can do it through the Pangguling FTO where you'd be getting the firewall benefit anyway. Honestly most of my IA lists lately have started with 2 Chaiyi, a Weibing, and an EVO Pangguling and are then built from there. The supportware flexibility from the EVO is enormously beneficial to IA.
While you could bbe correct for any other unit, Zuyong has 14 profiles of which 4 are HMG of which we have 1 release, 1 is Multirifle of which we have 1 release, 7 are combi of which we have 0 releases, 1 is BSG of which we have 0 releases, 1 is missile launcher of which we have 0 releases. By sheer statistical probability, the likelihood that people will want multiple Combi is very high. This is not only limited to the Haris profile, but also utility profiles like the unit's only specialist and the only Number2 in faction, neither of which are TacAware. BSG is probably the unit's profile people are least likely to field and the ML while a good choice and a more relevant release than Multirifle (IMO) should still be ranking fairly far down anyone's list. If the FO had a BSG, then sure. If the ML had TacAware... maybe? It's not only about min-maxing, but overwhelmingly about unit profile and ability distribution. I'd go so far as to argue that this is the first time when 3x Combi would probably have been the best possible weapons distribution for the starter! EDIT: Or better yet, one of them wielding two breaker pistols akimbo, with a slot for a gun on the back so weapon conversion isn't only easy but utterly trivial.
And I'd point out thwt differentiating between the multi and the combi when you'd happily field a dude just weilding pistols is trying to build a mole hill. Seriously, CB have definitely released some question mark boxes. You're drawing a long bow to say this one is from any point of view that isn't about min-maxing.
No, mate, because the pistol/CCW weapons have always been officially universal miniatures. You can accuse me of min-maxing all you want, but since I'm going to spend real money on a real physical item, I'd rather that item be useful. The BSG won't ever be useful, just like the Zhanying ML which I've never used as ML.
And that's boo for you. I'd also rather spend my money on useful things, which don't match with your perception of useful things. Gamers certainly like to think they're literally the only person buying a product.
Then by all means, what's your source for that these two models are a better release? I do note that the number of weapon options indicate that the likelihood of further Zuyong releases are... slim... because of this as well.
