From were are you suggesting we could take out points out of the zuyong? ARM,BTS, BS, FIS, Kinematica? You may be able to cheapen them further, but it would be a loss ro cheapen them 2-3 points. No That's not the problem of the zuyong. A tinbot B with deflector2 +Faery dust is a -9 to enemy hackers and a +3 BTS. I think it's perfect as it is. And faery dust will cover almost everything in the army, enven the skirmishers and the paratroopers. so Yeah Invincible will have an amazing defense against hacking On the other side Invincible will have a superior avaliability of engeneers 2 gongcheng+ haidaos in your linkteams... so even E/M and Inmovilized 2 could be countered. And shangjis a similar cost to other faction equivalents (maybe even cheaper... compare them to the orcs... +3CC -1BS +1VOL +3BTS +DUO and kinematica for the same cost) You say we're 50 points avobe. And I'm telling you the current profiles aren't the problem. If you want to reduce costs it has to be in other place. For example, 15 POINTS just in the daofei->zencha. And maybe you'll get even extras on the process. Say thanks they gave us ava1 in invincible... Hactaos are mainly a white banner trooper. the same as guilangs and now it's confirmed that the tigers are too
Couple of things: 1) I don't think -9 to hacking is a "fenomenal defense vs hacking", also TinBot only applies to fireteams and Fairy Dust costs an Order. So, no. 2) again, removing IMM-2 and other states is, again like Fairy Dust, Order intensive in a sectorial that is gonna ve starved for Orders. 3) yeah, sure, let's compare Shang Ji to ORCs, maybe the worst HI you can get, old and uninspired... why not compare them to Brigadas while we are on it? 4) Tigers a White Banner troop? Lol, since when? Funny how CB shits on its own fluff when it's convenient for their rules but we can't have MI/Skirmishers for IA because of "the fluff" I get I'm quite negative sometimes (well, often), but doing the opposite and spreading purposefully skewed information is at least as bad
Tigers have been stated to be in White Banner for as long as I've been in the game. Them being in IA is newer than them being in White Banner (White Banner was said in a seminar years ago to be 'Classic YuJing, Zhanshi, Tigers, HacTao, Guijia, Shaolin etc. Obviously some things have changed since then, but I think the first mention of Tigers in IA was the dossier from Op:Red Veil).
I've been pondering this- with Climbing Plus, NWI and specialist options (with tools for classifieds), he's more akin to an optimised Shikami...
The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Super Jump would have been great on the Liu Xing, giving us a sustitute for Shikami between the Liu and the Zencha.
I don't see that at all. ARM 3-4 and W2 is the same and all hackable, but they add on Marital Arts (Courage, Stealth), an ok variety of BS weapons but a lot more CCW. They have DA, EXP, AP. If we are lucky we get Shock with a Knife. Hac Tao has DA with NO marital arts! The only one that doesn't have MA is the Father Knight, who has Assault with DA instead.
I think it's as cheap as a camo infiltration HI is ever going to get, yes. Basically people are saying I want a 2 W HI with camo and infiltration, I want it to be cheap (like, close to 30pts cheap!), I want it to be super efficient, otherwise how can I take a whole army of them? And I want Daofei too.
Yeah, I know full well it has the HI designation. It's not an HI in function, and they've given the Zhencha all of the downsides of an HI without the upsides (eg, better stats, the full extra wound). It's an HI in title only.
Still not an HI, you know it, we know it, everybody knows it. It would be ok if the HI downsides came with actual good stats, but alas, it was not meant to be. If you want to, compare to Dart, compare to Nagas. Specially to Dart.
But what about a Forward Deployment Limited Camo HI? Which is closer to that people wishlisted for than this Daofei reject.

I'm not too happy with the Zhencha or the 'Shitty Star' Liu Xing, but I am hopefully for the Haidao. If the Haidao and the Mowang are decent (or, heaven forfend!, good!!) then I'll be quite happy. I still think we'll need some fairly big shifts in profiles for Yan Huo, Shang Ji, and Zuyong to fit a decent HI list into 300pts, but if we can get a solid base of Haidao, Zuyong and Shang Ji I'll be happy. That's not too high a bar to ask for...is it?!
Yeah, that's the Red Veil dossier that I mentioned in my post. That's the first time I can remember Tigers being mentioned as being in Invincible Army.
