In all seriousness though, If May isn't the invincible army, at the very least CB could throw a few white banner and IA Closed Battle lists out.
Firstly because the closed lists are criminally under used, and second If the may release *isn't* IA then the earliest YJ players get their replacement sectorial is November. Everything points to the Gencon release being a 2 player box, YJ is already in red veil, so 99.9% certain YJ ain't getting a whole helluva lot in august...

The more I think of it CBLs are the way to go for practically every Sectorial we're missing ATM, especially those that are a year or more away...

Would love to get to play with IA / White Banner CBLs. Hell with the BoW campaign on the horizon some CBLs designed to match the fluff of the campaign could be cool. Like regular army formation over seen by Imperial Agents.

IA should be in the uprising book. They are JSAs antagonist after all.

Nah, it has to look like, as if Yu Jing is struggling and looking weak. not only in the fluff but also for the players. Then after a while, they can make an exciting comeback.

    You mean ISS.

IA are the gold-plated Tesseum fist of the Empire, the new and improved tool for repelling Pan-O aggressions - this time at decreased cost of life for the Yu Jing side.

ISS are the counter-insurgency forces, abd this is an insurgency. I'd expect IA to ve called in only if ISS finds themselves short on troops.

I imagine an Uprising strong enough to actually achieve independence would see the regular army brought it, at least in the fluff.

Absolutely, but from what little I've seen so far the line that's stood out is "considering deploying Invincible Army", which sounds to me like an opening for a reveal later on - not immediately.

Well, I've no clue when IA on the table top will actually happen, just think it'll likely have a story impact in the Uprising book. Sorry if I was unclear.

It would be rather strange to see YJ showing up in the NA2 book.
It is likely IA would be mentioned in fluff part of the book though.

With regards to talk about links and like skills - it would be really nice if the Shang Ji got a special duo skill where they could team up with certain specialists and basically act as a point-man/body guard for them. That MI could fill the role, with all/majority of profiles being some sort of specialist.

I built my Vanilla Yu Jing with the hopes of transitioning it into an Invincible Army. But now I'm so excited for JSA that its gone to the back burner...

I don't mind the split, all it does is that I play one more faction now. I understand that this is different for other people and I can feel your pain and understand it.

However, I am in the camp, that didn't use that many japanese troops in vanilla anyway.

I sure hope though, that the next release is a sectorial for us in Yu Jing, because having only one is very painful...
also, no idea why CBL for every sectorial that hasn't been released yet aren't a thing.

*snaps to attention with a crisp naval salute*

    Yeah, exactly.

It just makes sense, doesn't it?

'though I say Invincible Army in May AND Closed Battle Lists for White Banner...

All the better to do CBL v CBL games.

Depends on how fast the plot is moving.
I think the Japanese war for independence is an ongoing conflict, hence why they are the "Japanese Secessionist Army" and not "Japanese State Army" (or something similar).
So maybe they fend off ISS in NA2 fluff and prompt YJ High Command to escalate the conflict and send in the Invincible Army next book. Meanwhile international politics prevents YJ from bombing Japan back to 1945.
    That's just my speculation though.

One problem is that the last run of closed battle lists were clearly made at the competitive level of this recent BoW vid. They need input from people who win stuff.

So, guys, after nearly crashing a thread in the Spanish into flaming and crispation, Koni told everyone to stop being arseholes. Which is normal, I guess.

But he also said that next week there will be an article explaining what is going to happen to Yu jing from now on.

So... What happened on the Spanish side of the forum? No habla, unfortunately :/

Also, eagerly waiting for that article. Hope they come to good conclusions from more constructive part of the feedback here...

Anger and frustration, pretty much like here, but a thread went into critical mass twice over the "shut up you moaners" vs "shut up you fanboy" discussion. Also some obvious trolls and obvious baits. Maybe a smidgen less of empathy than here but its hard to tell. No losses to lament tho, so its fine. I hope. Unless next week is extremely diasppointing. Then we may have a problem.

I think there's been both a slight mishandling of this game-changing announcement from CB, and a slight overraction from the fanbase here. CB could have maybe put out a little more info on the YJ impact sooner and maybe promised some blow-softeners, because the article now looks like damage control and may be carrying overly high expectations. OTOH, some people seem to have just found this
    [IMG]
    And yanked it hard.

One thing seems likely though: CB aren't gonna do something like this again for a while. Not the way they did here, at least.

Hopefully its a learning experience they can build from for next time they consider a major change.
