Invincible alternate colour schemes

Awesome. Which app or site do you use for this?

 

It took me around two years to decide, so can feel your pain ;) I strongly recommend browsing hobby section as you might find some interesting logs there with various colour schemes.

Here are my Hac Tao, recently finished. Blatantly stole them from Whisper, holy crap he is amazing. Can't find the post in the old forum anymore :(

 

Paint.net, recolor tool and then color picker/paintbrush to taste

I use that program to edit images (often for recolouring) almost daily, you have literally just saved hours of my life.

 

Nothing recent, and Botofukkit is not happy with the number of pics I have uploaded. Far too many pics for their free account, and I really don't want to throw money at them.

I really need to get back to painting, had rotator cuff surgery back in February on my painting hand, so I am hideously rusty and shaky right now.

Looking forward to that! (Technically, there should also be a Yellow Emperor, ruler of the center of the heavens. That might be the Imperial Service for YJ, though.)

Is there a Black and White file out there somewhere? Can I please have a link?

 

I'm not aware of one, I know CB has a B&W of every dossier but I haven't seen a B&W Zuyong released publically

I can't be of too much help here, since I did pretty much all of my YJ based on their dossier palettes. But I did do one exception for my MR Hsien, who was done in an ISS scheme, as I feel the dossier colours for the Hsien are far too vanilla, and the MR variant is pretty much only ever useful in ISS.

Hopefully I don't get an angry message for hyping up another company's products, but citadel's new contrast paint might have some wonderful results on IA or similar army's due to the flat plates. It might be easier to do the glazed metal effect, which could bring a neat take to doing bright armor colors. Makes me a bit sad I've already base coated most of my IA or else that might've been a better way to do my 707 purple.

 

Bit of a gray area. By the letter of the Forum Advertising Rules, we're not supposed to link to any non-partner store.

But paint is a consumable that CB hasn't made before, and every painter has their own preferred brand(s). I haven't gotten any complaints about linking to art-supply sites for things like brushes and brush-cleaning supplies, nor have I gotten complaints about paint preferences.

And I agree that the specialty colors from GW have gotten really, really good. The basing textures are excellent, the various technicals are great. I'm not very fond of their basic paints, though.

 

Finally got my Guijia finished.

I went with a blue-white theme because I liked the whole "Invincibles are the good guy of Yu Jing" idea of 3O.
