Ha! Coordinating regeneration is a fascinating plan. Too bad our other regen units aren't RTF. Though maybe that's intentional? Even the Zhayedan is, bizarrely, the automedkit instead.

And I agree that the picture might show a future RTF fireream. A mixed link of Zhayedan + Naffatun + Ghulam would be amazing. Ghulam specialists and heavy weapons, Zhayedan Breaker rifle, and Naffatun for CQB create an interesting (and aggressive) link.

As for the Hakim itself, this looks great. I'm a little concerned that there will be a lot of competition in this point range for RTF, but competition isn't the worst thing. I do think I'll have a hard time justifying the BSG profile though. And I can't imagine taking one without a Nasmat.

Given the Naffatun were always those guys who (in the fluff) nobody wants to be close to, I d somewhat doubt they'll get mixed into fireteams of Ghulam and/or Zhayedan. A Duo (or maybe Haris) of Naffatun themselves is something I was definitely thinking about, myself.

Cant exclude the possibility of mixed Ghulma +Zhayedan teams, though!

Surprisingly enough the Hakim is already on Army. Someone at CB must have been bored at this long weekend^^

Concerning the coordinated Regenration...my regular opponents always try to finish all of my models off, because they were often on the receiving end of a revived model, that did a lot of damage or Objectives afterwards. So it never came up really. Also there is always the possibility, that someone has LOF to you regenerating model and AROs it.

From a fluff perspective, Naffatun should indeed not be in any Fireteam. But sometimes gameplay considerations top fluff...we will see.

And yeah, the SMG profile is overshadowing the BSG. It seems the SMG is really around 2 points to cheap. To bad, because the BSG has definitely its merits, but with the lower cost, one more burst, ammo type and a DTW its in most cases plain better.

Btw...I just realized that Ragiks have Cubes...getting them back up with a Hakim and a CT is almost guaranteed:-D

Where can I find the medejector rules, its not in the wiki?

I was hoping that this woudl be a new Support box for all haqq sectoral, but the profile is only in vanilla Haqq according to Army.

Correct, it is not a general support model, it is a part of the Ramah Taskforce sectorial to be released.

Super healing gun rules are in the blog post.

I believe they have the same bands as a regular medikit, but the target is not at a -3 to their Phys on the recovery roll if you hit them.

These guys look really good! Fantastic medics, not that expensive, flexible and hard to keep down. I'd definitely use one in Vanilla or Sectoral play, I think Tomcats are probably a little better broadly but Hakims are muuuuch better medical specialists, which totally works.

There has to be a Special Core options of up to 2 Naffatun to join up to 3 Ghulam. Yes, nobody wanted to be near the Naffatun (back in the day, when the tank exploded when a Naffatun was shot dead). But we're past that. And I want my B2 Heavy Flamethrower!!!

Amen, @Danger Rose! B2 Heavy flamethrowers are a beautiful dream, especially those darned Myrmidons!

The explosives tanks aren't in HSN3, as far as I can tell with a quick thumb through, so maybe that part of the fluff has been dropped?

That was part of the fluff.
Never a part of the rules though.

And, as I've just consulted my copy of the N3 Corebook, nothing has changed there.

I appreciate them not just being Tomcat+. From my experience with AD the template on the BSG is worth a lot more than people are giving it credit for.

Honestly I appreciate their lore for taking a bit of a break from the Pokedex-style backgrounds a lot of units get of "These are literally the most highly trained, badass black-ops spec-ops motherfuckers in the sphere and are like literal ghost nightmare ninjas". Of course there's still a little bit of it "for the hand that can mend could just as easily rend" falling back into the mould a bit, but I still appreciate how differently it reads.

Agreed. BSGs are quite useful, especially on AD troopers.

But the SMG also comes with the DTW Chain-Colt. So it can do suppressive fire or template attacks + is a fair bit cheaper.

Yeah that's fair, between giving it the chain colt and SMG having AP rounds anyways I would probably have a hard time taking BSG. I think the BSG still has advantages, specifically getting the F2F against a link dodging the template, but it should probably be the cheaper profile.

    Leveling up Haqq doctoring threat:
Before opponents had to finish everyone off because there was ghulam doc / his nasmat nearby. Now they will have to do it just in case you have those AD docs.
Smaller point hole in your list than HD tuareg, and also more flexible deployment makes it more of a concern. I wonder how easily can that hole be covered with camo/holo mixups in vanilla.

Something I've noticed, RTS is going to have a lot of flaws for us to play around, most likely.
I'm going to post a thread on that one day.

Thankfully, army isn't kind of organization that is about personnel's whims ;)

A B2 HFT with a Doctor+ right behind it, for the record :P

Add Zhayedan in there and "up to..." before Ghulam and Naffatun numbers to prevent that NA2 syndrome of being unable to reform a link after taking a single loss, and that's going one of the most obnoxious links in the game.

It's not that AD with BSG is bad. It's just Ragiks having rough time chosing BSG over Rifle+LSG for just 1 point more. In case of Hakims, they at least don't have a FtF template on their another profile.

Tbh with the Hakims a BSg feels very desirable. The SMG is all well and good but a BSg can ruin with that impact template and the +6 to hit is very desirable on just BS 11.

I'd be interested in that post. It does seem like we're missing some key tools, but we also can reasonably expect new profiles (like this one) to put us level with other sectorials. MSV2 seems extremely likely to me, although I don't know how they'll distinguish it from Djanbazan. Maybe a HI elite shock troop?

Honestly I hope it's not a HI with MSV. I hope it's something more unique to Haqq, like a bio-enhanced super fast 6-4 LI hunter killer with MSV2, high PH and a viral marksman rifle or something crazy like that, something that's different to me than a Hsien or an Aquila and makes it feel uniquely Haqqislam

I think I'm going to do this in a few hours. Not that I have a lot to say (and there are things I've posted before), it's just that there are a few cases of "we will have X, but not Y to abuse the shit out of X". I'm not really used to seeing this in Haqq who don't typically go "It doesn't matter because that X is still huge and hard by itself" route in design.

Mobile MSV2 that focuses on close-to-mid range combat would be an interesting combination. Aaand it will go nicely with aforementioned "flawed" theme of RTF since such thing is extra order intensive and probably requires more smoking - and our cheap smoke generators with expendable orders are all in other sectorials, heh.

OTOH, Haqq will still have one of the healthiest Vanillas in Infinity :smirk:

I might be an old fogey but my preference is not for proliferation of similar units to fill roles across sectorials. Surely the RTF can hire on some Djanbazans from the Muhafiz for camo detection duties? After all, the Al Medinat might be able to call in that favor since the Djanabzans wouldn't be able to see in the dark without them.
