So I have been looking around for some nice minis to paint an infinity has caught my eye. I have mostly painted only warhammer and i know that infinity minis are smaller but I really want to paint something bigger. Only problem is that the stores have no indication of scale or size and I want to paint something between 40-60 mil but I haven't found anything that would tell me which minis are which size. Is there any list or something that I could look up? Thank you in advance!
Hello, George. First of all, I'm going to move this post to a more appropriate thread. Second, and answering your question, take a look at these minis: https://store.corvusbelli.com/es/search?q=tag (the result of searching our online store for the word "tag"). The majority are of a large scale, but maintaining the quality of sculpture that characterizes us. You can also use Army (the list builder for Infinity) to locate large units, so you can search the store for the related minis. To do this go to https://army.infinitythegame.com, select the army you like best (Combined Army for example), and use the attribute menu to select "S" (Silhouette). Then activate the select ">=" and enter the value 4. For example: https://store.corvusbelli.com/es/wargames/infinity/miniatures/raicho-armored-brigade
There's also the partner company Luxumbra that make larger scale busts of Infinity characters specifically aimed at painters.
Infinity minis are not smaller than 40K, just finer. They are the same scale 28-30mm miniatures. 40K is "Heroic" scale with oversized heads, hands and guns etc. Infinity is "Fine" scale proportioned more realistically and anatomically correct. Given that Infinity is Fine scale the miniatures are generally "smaller" in mass than 40k, but they stand at the same head height (if not taller). Lastly, there are large and small models in each range (ranging comparatively from human size to dreadnought size). I've been paining 40k for a long time but I now really enjoy working on Infinity minis these days due to the more realistic aesthetics. Hope this helps.
