I think these films touch on what would or can be in the future, giving us the means to comprehend how life feels like in the game verse of Infinity, Aristeia! and other aspects of the Human sphere. Rather than meeting aliens, we meet ourselves, some of whom are born, raised and educated in space or alien worlds by experience and computers.

I saw this intriguing japanese project of an independent animated manga, apparently the guy is all alone on it and plans to make 100 minutes of film (a bit like the guy from Inquisitor wanted to do). He talked about a crownfunding project to finance it. It sounds like a mix of cyberpunk, Joan of Arc and mechas and drones.I couldn't find a synopsis of his film.

I saw in my notifications this movie-game which is set in a cyberpunk universe and with a police unit, you see the link... The Starmada of course. I heard that the game is not great, maybe the story could be nice.

I believe that this is the oldest film about a franchise in our hobby of wargame/modeling. It's SF Pulp with stop motion.

Restored from a capture I had from the original VHS.

Kow Yokoyama (Mecha Designer) collaborated with Tsuburaya Productions to create a live-action SF3D film using miniatures in 1985. Directed by Shinichi Ohoka from a script penned by co-producer Hisao Ichikura, the 25-minute SF3D Original Video opens with wreckage left from a battle in the Australian desert on Christmas Day 2884 before focusing on a badly damaged IMA SAFS unit. The pilot, Cpl Robert Bush (Tristan Hickey), who is still alive, seeks to get his armored suit back and running and leave the battle area, which is under heavy jamming. Seeing two of the SDR's new Nutrocker (Nutcracker) robot hovertanks arrive nearby, Bush tries to hide, but bodily functions give him away. One Nutcracker gives chase and the SAFS AI points out to Bush how to defeat it. He eventually clambers on to the tank, which passes through the rubble of a town and randomly shoots at high places to bring down objects that could snag him. With the SAFS' right arm sheared off by the Nutcracker's laser blasts and snow settling in, Bush is knocked unconscious all night long from the fall while the tank breaks down under the cold. The next day, the SAFS AI wakes up Bush because the Nutcracker is active again and is preparing to kill him. Bush gets up and faces the tank as it charges towards him. However, the Nutcracker gets too close to a cliff that buckles under its weight and Bush fires his laser into the tank's underbelly. The tank plunges into a ravine and explodes. Bush walks away and reestablishes radio contact with his base. It is revealed that the battle was a field test of the SAFS, Bush's machine being the only survivor out of four deployed that day.

Lightfall is based on the discovery of the cyberpunk-like city Neomuna on Neptune. Neomuna has survived the Collapse and the arrival of the Black Fleet in the Solar System. The city is populated by humans that had been previously cut off from the rest of the system; these humans lack the Light granted by the Traveler but instead have trained Cloud Striders—voluntary human soldiers who have undergone cybernetic augmentation at the cost of significantly reducing their lifespan—that help to defend the city.

During the events of The Witch Queen a year ago, the Guardian had defeated the Hive god Savathûn, the Witch Queen, who threatened them with the return of the Witness, the being leading the Black Fleet's attack on the Solar System. During Season of the Haunted, the exiled emperor of the Cabal, Calus, became a Disciple of the Witness and the herald of the second Collapse after communing with the Lunar Pyramid. During Season of the Seraph, the Warmind Rasputin sacrificed himself to prevent Eramis, Kell of Darkness, from using the Warsats to destroy the Traveler as it began to leave the Last City, with the Traveler remaining in Earth's orbit. A posthumous message from Rasputin reveals the existence of Neomuna, which is home to an extremely powerful artifact connected to the Traveler called the Veil.

Lightfall begins shortly after the events of Season of the Seraph. The Vanguard faces heavy resistance against the Black Fleet as they arrive in Earth's orbit to attack the Traveler. The Witness emerges from its Pyramid and effortlessly destroys most of the Vanguard forces as the Traveler attacks the Black Fleet with a beam of Light, only for it to be suppressed by Pyramids who begin to surround it. The Witness then attempts to commune with the Traveler, who grants it a vision of the Veil on Neomuna, and orders Emperor Calus and his loyal Cabal forces, called the Shadow Legion, and the Witness's personal soldiers, the Tormentors, to travel to Neptune to retrieve the Veil. Osiris then decides to go after Calus and the Shadow Legion, fearing that the Witness has located the Veil on Neptune.

Thanks for all videos! I'm really enjoying them and working my way through bit by bit.

I really recommend the Crystal trilogy by Max Harms. You can read or download directly from his webpage. Its 5/5 hard scifi about the birth of AGI, and I found if fascinating. Reminded me of ALEPH in quite a few points, and how hard it is to have an artificial intelligence who actually has humanity's best interests at heart. Like, what actually are those?

Anyways, back to watching cool cyberpunk sci-fi!

On my side I saw that a game studio, like League of Legend, made a series of animations for their game Free Fire (a moba game mainly distributed in Asia and South America), a bit like Overwatch. So there is a total of 2h of SF animation in anthology, but their universe doesn't really have a story, but it seems they want to write one for the future.

Also their Thai branch made a live version, but it's less SF, it's mostly about fighting against the mafia in a desert.

Here is the recap in a movie of 2h, but I only found it in Portuguese, so think to enable autosubtitles with translation.
