It need not a Social Etiquette Expert like Samira to see that the normally sedate Father Beretta is rather becoming overtly open to some sort of Violence; very probably hailing from the Old Country of Old Italy in Old Europe on Old Earth the mere mention of being forced to Grovel and Appease to Mobsters is rather hard to swallow for Him; maybe is like in those Old Trivid Movies about Italy "Mafia, Camorra, Ndrangheta". . .

Padre, do you really think you can stop a horde of muscle heads, with drugs so that stun rounds are like bee stings for them?
The other point is we dont have the social standing that would allow us to blast them and their leader into nice orbit around earth and i doubt Sunz would cover the fines for space loitering.

I think Saito here can help us more.
Saito can you get some more iformation about that Nikotin and a way to contact him?
We may give him another point of view and a business oportunity and maybe we can negotiate for more info about our goal or at least a cease fire.

Maybe the more socially apt of the Group could go appease the inflated ego of Turf-Mob-Bozz and the more "Active Ones" could speed to a Smuggler Cargo Bay checking to avoid a "Sorry The Princess Is In Another Castle, Mario!" scenario regarding the "Runaway Glitterati Megacorp Spoiled Brat" (or "Top Notch Junior Graduate From Hexaedron Farmstead Camp" if the worst case was real deal !!). . . . .

Sweeping the room was a simple matter, something that had been done countless times beyond count, the others most of them seemed to do their part checking. An update was filled and sent to Sunz while the check was being carried out. With a caveat that they'll send a followup with their decided course of action once the meeting was over and that if they received orders to cease their current plan, they'll stand down.

"Now then," Saito says straight forwardly as he takes a seat upon his bed while the others find other places to sit or stand for their little brief.

"The issue with BPG will be a serious one, i don't think anyone here is under any illusions that we just didn't step on a snakes tail, albeit unwittingly," said Saito while also having a side long glance with Samira.

After some back and forth with the others, Saito offers to make the introduction for Samira and have her take on the role of placating the mobsters. "Taisa, Father Beretta, might you two be able to back trace the hacker to see who they wereand or what they were up to?"

Standing up off the bed to do a bit of stretching, "and we still need to both figure out what the caged bird was after and where she's going to make her egress. We need to start rolling the proverbial dice and start moving." After that Saito stands and waits to see what the other detectives have to say AND more importantly, what they are going to do. The time to stay coiled up was over, now... The time to spring into action is here!

Acquiring whatever other useful Assetts, whether "Digital / Software" or "Analogic / Hardware" would be paramount for the Mission Success, so also that was queried on the Comlog-To-Comlog "Private Encrypted Handhsake" kind of Pre-Mission Briefing to swiftly be able to start their part in the same timely fashion that the Shinobi wanted to execute His, alongside the Middle Eastern beautiful and alluring Lady. . . . .!!!

After the team dicedes how to go on with their investigation it is decided to get some more non-lethal firepower to their arsenla to not get in trouble with the authorities to much.
As Samira doesnt have the technical skills to help with the technical stuff she is going out and trying to find something on the darker side of Bakunins market place.
Some time and money is going by to find the right vendor for something not to big but fitting the need of the team and some additional small stuff to make her shopping tour lesssuspicious.

Finally she found a vendor offering something the padre would like and a pair of zap sticks which may come in usefull in narrow spaces.

The team is surprised when she comes back followed by a small drone full with shopping bags.
After unlaoding and tipping the drone Samira starts unpacking the bags.
Most stuff is locking unsuspicious, soem second hand clothes, souveniers etc. junk without any worth but looking like a tourist shopping tour.
Finally she comes to some bigger boxes, she hands Saito a bigger box, containing 2 Stun Batons with the words:

"I think they were usefull and you look like you could use them."

Then another bigger box follows with a used but well maintained Assault Pistol and a smaller box full a stun ammonition for pistols.

And with a smile Samira hands a box to the Padre.
The box looking like a cartoonisch treasure jest still found in some kids shows.

"I kept the best for you Padre."

Opening the box reveals a Boarding Colt and a few shells for the underbarreld grenade launcher, together with an eye patch and a chip for an upgraded speach patern for the Comlog.

"Its special kit i got at the shop after i tolde them you would make a great space pirate and needed a fitting gun."
Samira smilles, while pulling the Padres leg.

 

Saito grabs the new gear and gives them a few practice swings away from the others. Doing a few acrobatic flips while taking swings for some added flair as well just to see.

Finishing the message Saito claims to be able to handle the tail on BPG if the others want him to.

Getting ready to begin work he is truly comfortable with, Saito equips himself for a 'fun' day, when he suddenly stops and smacks his fist into his other palm.

"Um, guys... Did any of us actually check what fake aliases Valentine gave Lauren?" Turning back around to face the rest of the team, he looks at all of them in turn.

"Damn, i should get onto Valentine and ask, Padre and Taisa, depending on what we get, the two of you might need to trace that info while you're doing other assignments." Thinking to himself, "I should also ask just how much hacking training Lauren has, or was shown. Just so we know if she's able to cover her tracks."

The ex ninja stops what he's doing and places a call to Valentine through Gota. He didn't want to over indebt himself to the oniwaban but Saito felt that time was running out and he needed eyes and ears in the wind.

 

Hearing the ideas just expressed by the Undercover-Ninja then the Blackfriar Inquisitor immediatly set upon trying to organize best with the Tohaa Biotechnician and the imposing Chaksa Bodyguard Porter. . .

Also while busy conferring with Kenn-Tal (both in hushed whispers to not disrupt the other three Team Detectives more inclined to Social Subtlety, in the manner that they saw more fit to address the "Struktura Goons Issue"; a Geist-To-Geist Discussion is also kept in parallel link through Comlog-To-Comlog) how best start to comb the "Dark Underbelly Of The Mothership" to see if that fleet-footed Runaway Corp Girl could be somehow located, Father Beretta start to check on the new powerful Handguns just acquired. . .

Slowly and carefully, as to imprint muscle memory on the necessary actions, and explain visually to the Alien Biomedic-Engineer the correct functioning of those Human-Made Weapons that were perhaps slightly foreign in functioning. . .

A Stun Ammo Clip is inserted in the Magazine Hold of the Assault Pistol, and the Automatic Ejection Port slidden carefully to show Kenn how those Human Rapid Fire Machine-Pistols were structured. . .

Then some Stun Rounds are individually inserted into the Revolver Shaped Handcannon "Upper Barrell" Ammo-Wheel of the "Pirate Pistol"; a Gyre Buckshot Shell is then put into the Underbarrell Mini-Launcher, the Hold-Cover resled and the Small Warhead Slug taken away and re-inserted, to show how those Human-Made Gun-Attachements works. . .

Then the Human and the Tohaa compare the Basic Handguns that they owns, with Pietro explaining carefully to Kenn how the Double-Trouble Shooter had slight mechanical differences from the Normal Panoceanian Sidearm Pistols. . .

Finally, awaiting for further "Deploying Orders" while leaving the Tohaa familiarize itself with the Handguns, newer or older, the Dominican Warrior-Priest Detective-Cleric checks on the Combirifle that Kenn brought from Paradiso; while a Model usually boxier and more "Primitive Looking" than the Panoceanian Ones that Order Knights usully employs, is easy to see the sturdy, rugged fabrication that made it a Prime Choice for Mercs operating on the "Greenhell Warzone" Planet. . .

Maybe the Xenosavant could decide to load the Combirifle Ammo Clip with Stun Nonlethal Rounds, but that is a Decision that is His alone to take, muses between Himself the Catholic Priest sliding the rack and ejecting the Magazine to try the locking pins. . .

Familiarizing with Team-Mates Weapons could always be a prudent, cautious approach; who knows what can happen, especially in an Environment so weirdly bizzarre as Bakunin. . .

Also while discussing ideas about "Bounty Hunting Their Mark" (both Theorethical Tactics and Strategical Possibilities) then Father Beretta tries to propose to Kenn some clipped, quick "Danger Codewords" that they could employ in a pinch in an unclear situation. . .

The Tohaa was not talking to anyone in particular. Just talking out loud to anybody in the Sunz that would or could hear him.

Kenn took mental notes at the action. Hoping that he would not have to repeat the same action. If he was destined to fight then let it be finished before the clip ran out. Or better yet that the clip didn't need to be used at all.
A few scant memories of Paradiso, both accounts, came to the forefront in his mind. He also lived by that philosophy. Doing his best to avoid confrontation. Which was not easy on the death world of a planet where the lingering thought that some form of aggressive vegetation was going to try & nom you if you fell asleep.
Now that similar feeling of aggressive vegetation was coming to the service due to Rando and the beef he had on his shoulder.

 

There was a thing that did not sat well with Father Beretta; apparently Struktura Mafyia sent to stop the Detective Team and catch Lauren Dixon not their Vory-Soldiers under the Bratya Affiliation, but some "Side Merc Thug Bouncers". . .

That smacked of Expendable Sacrificial Cannon Fodder, as even that Tunguskan Criminal Family could not perhaps risk to have "Offical Members" to draw blood of the Runaway Heiress, Panoceanian Hexas on her tail, or whatever else Black Ops Operative was on the case. . .

Normally he would be the one to spiral into paranoid conspiracy theories but here he was, the calm collected one. Stranger things have happened and he breaths a sigh. Maybe he was getting over his traumas, or maybe the presence of someone even further into the abyss than himself was somehow bouying him towards the surface.
