Seems pretty robust, alternating activations between individual heroes and random enemies means you can't plan perfectly, and there appear to be enough variances to the cards that enemies will generally act a certain way, but not always. The aggro mechanic also interfaces nicely with the AI cards.

The downloads section of the Infinity website actually has a demo scenario, how to play booklet, and sample AI deck if you want to check it out yourself (with the obvious caveat the final version may not be identical).

It looks like, but it will only be available until March 18th. I do assume, however, one's kickstarter backer number will be the major decider on when your order will be fulfilled and shipped.

But if it is, one can consider the entire limited time chance as false advertisement and the entire kickstarter kind a scam(...probably more correctly it creates a trust issue.....???)

not saying that it is but it can interpreted as, If you get what I mean....

most probably it is a feeling created by the previous' pages "animosity"(?)

But it does feel this way, doesn't it? You do feel betrayed in a way? Cause I do. Cause It's pretty much an extra kickstarter month. Anyone can register right now and order what they want. They'll get the same bonus miniatures and same release date as the ones who backed the project during KS. The only difference is - those who consider getting it now have the time to think (not like "OMG!OMG!WENEEDTHATLASTBIGREWARD!!!") and will also see the shipping price before checkout. And these shipping prices may get pretty high for some parts of the world. I wouldn't even consider getting Platinum pledge if I'd knew it would cost half its price to ship.

Not that I live in a bubble and expect a business company not try to sell some extra boxes while they can, but this whole "only here and now" hysteria during kickstarter got to me and I backed the project. Cause there was no time to think and i wanted to get it. And now it turns out I could wait and get EXACTLY the same result. The fact that you backed it back then doesn't matter, you don't even get it earlier. At this rate I won't be surprised if it ends up as a retail release and all this "exclusive" hype was for nothing.

That's an interesting point and to some extent I can understand it (exklusiveness). But (there is always a but) even during the Kickstarter it was said you can pledge a single Euro and get access o the Pledge Manager. So if you would not have been completely sure back then, you should have just pledged the single Euro to mitigate risk.

The advantage to pledge back then was to unlock more Stretch Goals.

The only thing that's different now is that someone who missed the Kickstarter completely now can pledge as well. I don't know anymore if it was said that you can pledge now if you did not participate at all in the Kickstarter back then. I just don't know anymore and am way too lazy to check all the commentaries ... But even if it wasn't said, the one thing you are loosing is some exklusiveness.

And if you say "Hey, if you want Defiance, you should have backed your one Euro back then. What? You didn't know of the Kickstarter? Or there were other reasons why you just could not even access the Kickstarter? Well ... bad luck then ..." that's not really my thing.

For me ... I wanted to get it, no matter what, so the extra month of the Pledge Manager doesn't matter at all.

If it is going up on retail I am with you that CB just wanted to get the hype up. But until then, I think it's okay. To be honest, even if it would go up on retail it wouldn't matter to me, because ... like I said before, I would have bought it anyways.

So much of it simply boils down to personal feeling. Some folks feel (to varying degrees) slighted, and some of us don't. To each their own, to each a moment to vent their spleen, and then onward.

There is a difference between "this is not good" and "they lied to me to steal my money!!!!!", and most of your posts tend to the latter. I'm not sure why you think CB is going to read it and change their ways, you're just talking to the rest of US on the English forums at this point, so relax. :)

Honestly, I got Etherfields core pledge and they charged me $39 vs my Platinum for $50. Given that it's not being shipped from Poland in either case, I'm not calling you out, just saying that it doesn't really matter what Poland charges for the most part.

You can go to Gamefound and purchase it, though it will not ship until ready obviously.

Only if you ignored the FAQ part during the kickstarter where it said they'd have Late Pledges available...

The main advantage of the 1E thing was to get the email when Pledge Manager opened and get all the updates. For instance, I didn't pledge for Etherfields, did the Late Pledge, so I can't post on the kickstarter and don't receive updates on it's progress. Sometimes it's more money in the Late Backer.

CB did say in the FAQ they'd do a Late Pledge, and it's almost always done with kickstarters (why not... extra money), but just like the kickstarter people wanting cheaper plastic minis, the Infinity people seem unfamiliar with kickstarter.

I would like it to go retail, but if it does, it should be enough money to make our investment a savings and also of course lose out on all the stretch goals and add ons we got for our trouble.

Exactly. Kickstarters have hiccups. I've backed only a few (<10) but even I know that life happens and it won't come out perfectly or 100% on schedule. It surprises me a little people being taken aback by that.

Dawn of Madness decided to set their date like 2 years out (Oct 2021, campaign was Nov-19 I think), but I still expect them to miss it, so going that far out was a bit of an irritant for me. Battletech is announced 3ish months late already and probably will get worse, but I don't need them anyway (just nostalgia).
CB has a big advantage in that they actually MAKE the stuff. Everyone else is waiting on China and they don't care about delays at all. Communication is monthly for most kickstarters and some less than that (though Btech is twice a week for now). Looking back on it, Cthulhu Wars delivered to me a year and a half after original projection...
So yeah, my expectations are different than some folks. :)

I think anyone who has even a bit of experience with KS games was pretty sure that July was ambitious at the least.

Not "steal" but "gouge" and not "me" but "us". See Lucian's post above yours. The situation is beyond "this is not good" if every single time they communicate with us something is misrepresented or their previous statements are countered in posts buried deep on the Forum instead of made openly on the company webpage.

It's an absolute certainty that they won't change their ways if we keep our heads down and not call them out on their utter bullshit.

I'm definitely talking to the CB reps present on the forum, everyone between Bostria, Koni and others read this Forum and customer opinions contained here. If they completely disregard this singular source of massed feedback about their ideas, products and practices, then I have no clue what they're doing at all as a company.

So again, among others, Corvus Belli guys, listen please:
    • you need to start clearly, honestly and openly communicating with us - I understand the need for marketing suspense, this is not about that - this is about telling us one thing and then doing another, without telling us beforehand "hey, we have changed our stance here and there, for those reasons, apologies for the disappointment or confusion" - the change in accessibility of the Pledge Manager to "everyone, everywhere, regardless of previous pledge in November" was such a case

    • you need to present such important news and information to us in a readily accessible way (a pinned thread, a news rundown on the webpage), not buried in random posts in random threads on the Forum

    • you need to ensure that your current customers negatively affected by the N4 release (armies dropped, profiles removed, etc) are fully aware of what's happening beforehand, not way up until N4 release date

    • the above goes especially to soothing the fears of your loyal Tohaa community who have already been aggravated by the "year of the Tohaa" crap and now are afraid that their whole army will cease to exist due to lack of support and removal from Army

It's not on us to manage our own expectations versus the promises companies make, it's on the companies to make realistic promises and it's on us to hold them to those.

You completely miss my point. There are factors that can not be fully understood today that will affect tomorrow.

There is also a difference between "holding them accountable" and complaining about every little thing. You have things in your life you can change and things you can't. What you always have is the ability to change your response to a situation. Take a deep breath and realize this is one of those times.

I might be vocal and verbiose in my replies, but I also try my best to provide solutions and explain my expectations - just like in the appeal to CB above. We have no other real venue of providing feedback to them and making requests, so we need to state this stuff openly on the Forum and hope it doesn't fall of deaf ears.

Very much so, and adjusted accordingly. It’s simply the way it works. Carrying on about it seems... odd. If we know that’s the way it works, then outside a splenetic moment or two, why keep carrying on about it?

The problem is, the signal to noise ratio when you set volume to 11 because the promised July date is now listed as August, do you think they're listening to the next 20 things you go on about at the same time?

It'd be great for the Tohaa players to have some confirmation that they will get an N4 update in Army, but even if they confirmed that, plans could change so what good does it do? You can't hold the company accountable or hold them to realistic promises, because your only real option is to stop buying.

On Defiance, the one valid thing that seems worth asking about (but which doesn't affect me) is that people that bought the Core pack shouldn't need to pay split shipping I think, and get everything in first wave. But I'm not sure the people reading the forum/ youtube/ kickstarter have that informaton handy and probably didn't consider it when setting up Gamefound, so now they need to figure it out.

And make a fuss about it publicly. And discourage others from buying from companies with questionable practices. And...

This is, after all, how people got Tom Kirby out of the Games Workshop CEO seat, Kevin Rountree in and forced sales down enough that we got the current Games Workshop - with exactly the issues I mention here resolved: transparency, communication, more open scheduling, better customer relations, being more forward, truthful and responsible about statements made to the public, having actual social media points of contact, providing customers with a lot more insight into the company (podcasts, interviews, videos, memes and jokes, etc.).

Yeah, you can absolutely hold a company, even an incredibly huge corporation, not just a comparably much smaller one like CB, fully accountable to their customer base. This is 2020, we've been there and done that before.
