That, or the long line of historical ships with the exact same name, following Infinity's theme of Earth Nostalgia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Defiance
Heck, just scale up the Formula D tracks so that 55mm bases will fit into each "square". Should scratch the itch pretty well! Yeah, I'm going to be saving my shekels for this one!
Meh, another boardgame and through KS as well. Thanks, I'll pass and put those flat rocks against other things instead.
As a Tohaa player, I have plenty of money left in my gaming budget so I'll be giving this a serious look. This might be coming out after my oldest turns 6 and if it turns out to be something he could play as well that would be a bonus. (Can't wait to start gaming with my kids)
As a Haqq player who has been waiting for Ramah ever since Bostria mentioned the Mukhtar and the Numair, now Namurr, lo these 5 years ago, My gaming budget is, uhm, well... Say, Cothel, help a brother Infinity player out, wouldya? Love me some co-op dungeon crawls, or similar games. Have played many. Will play more. Defiance, I like the sound of it. Hate me the Kickstarters. I'll wait for the retail.
This is a great idea and I think and hope it’ll be a big success! I certainly will use KS for the first time for this game
Between the Kickstarter, preset "hero" characters and the fact it's just a board game means I'll be passing on this one. Looks like it might be fun, but not something I'll be able to play enough to make it worth a buy.
I'm honestly very excited for this. A big struggle I've hit in being an evangelist for Infinity is that it's the densest skirmish wargame on the market and more casual players are never going to get into that, no matter how cool the sculpts are. It'll be a good way to include friends in my hobby who don't necessarily want to take the dive into "full Infinity"
So much this. I found that in co-op games Like Zombiecide can even work for family game nights, so we might be able to connect to a really broad audience here
That's Nuts... Called would been just saying Dungeon Crawl.... You did everything but say "And it'll be called Defiance"
Anyone can design a game in 20 days. Not going to say that it will be a good game... Speaking of good games, this new Infinity Defiance. I do hope CB has a campaign mode for it. The newer D&D adventure games ( Temple of Elemental Evil, for example) have a campaign mode, and I think it makes the game more fun. Other co-op board games, like Pandemic Legacy do this too. I do hope they avoid what was not fun in the Battlestar Galatica co-op, well, semi-co-op. Specifically the Cylon, hidden traitors. Ruins the whole co-op experience. {No speculos, in other words.) Has anyone at CB played Gloomhaven? ;)
Haha, damn straight! I’ve been telling my friends that I hoped it would be a dungeon crawl since the black N was announced. Seriously, I couldn’t be more excited about what it turned out to be.
I'm a big fan of crawls... Did the Zombiecide thing. Did the Dark souls Crawler But an Infinity Crawl... So cool I can already imagine the house rules the community will come up with. My prediction lots of Taigha, Hungries So excited
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but months ago many of us (me included) speculated about a Dungeon Crawler.
I asked Carlos about the game at Adepticon about how many players and he said it's a 1-4 Cooperative player game. Players vs. the game. There' will be characters from the human factions against the Combined. Shasvastii are going to be in it quite a bit. Taiga Creatures will be in it so we might see the figs about that time. He mentioned it being competitive but I can't see how it can be that. In fact I think it's best if it's not. It can bring in people that are turned off by these types of games. I'm really looking forward to it. It might be the first Kickstarter I back.
