You don't need to have a cube to be targeted by a Sepsitor, just to enter the sepsitorised state. You can hit multiple troopers with the sepsitor, so walking your cube-less mook in front of the Avatar when there are other targets nearby is a dumb idea.
Yes but it is the only one. It can't preserve the order pool against a Camo Marker or a Smoke. And the table might not be so generous for you to overwatch all the table from your position. As I've learned this lesson by the hard way against most of the players of the other factions : the things you can't destroy, just ignore them. And since the Avatar is the only durable threat of its list, it is easy to ignore it.
IMO the best way to give ORC some identity and not step on knightly toes would be to make him more long-range focused. Obviously he already has HMG when most knights have Spitfires. Give him Feurebach, ML or maybe even MSR. Although I know a few people turn their noses at ML Father-Knight, I find him to be a pretty nice curveball, catching most rambos at their disadvantage and driving attention away from lighter but more aggressive units. With ORC we'd be looking at the same at 41pts and without the unneeded CC abilities. Of course I wouldn't argue against a breacher ORC (BSG, Drop Bears/Grenades, D-Charges, Engineer).

Gotta admit after sleeping on it I'm still not sold on Orcs as a Fireteam at all, mixed or bust if they keep paying for the current statline. G:Sync Orcs with existing or new Auxbot variants though.....
