I think we better let them know this. @Koni to make you aware of the name being used for the new unit might to go over well with some lol.
For those that care, the symbol being used for Daebak is a version of the Yin Yang symbol. It’s used in the I-Ching (book of change or book of divination). Both the symbol and book are a part of the Taoist Philosophy/Religion. https://chinesemedicalclassics.word...ai-ji-tu-yin-yang-symbol-history-and-fallacy/
Shall we speculate? Of course it's just based on names and the symbols. I think Sulyong and Sulsa are Remotes. Water Dragon makes me thing Aquatic terrain? Sulsa, A Spellcaster, Shaman, Mystic: If this is a REM then I have no clue, but I think it could be a hacker. My friend likes joke every time he uses his hackers, that he casts a spell. How about a Non-EVO hacker remote! We now have a hacker TAG so there’s precedent. For the Haetae. Just like Jujak, this is a mythical creature. To me it sounds like an HQ troop. “In Korean folklore, the haetae is a scaled goat-like creature that was believed to know right from wrong, and helped pass judgement on guilty and innocent parties. It may sometimes be known as haitai or haechi. It was often depicted as a muscular beast with a likeness to a lion, goat, and unicorn. Indeed, in English language references to the haetae, it is sometimes known as a “unicorn lion”. The haetae is not only prevalent in Korean mythology, but also has a place in Chinese and Japanese folklore. It is called kaichi (獬豸) in Japanese mythology. In Chinese myths, though, it is known as Xiezhi and is believed to have been an aid to the ancient Minister of Law, Gao Yao. Xiezhi would punish those who were guilty of crimes by attacking them with its horn. “ Dokkaebi (Korean: 도깨비) are legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore. Dokkaebi, also known as "Korean goblins",[2][3] are nature deities or spirits possessing extraordinary powers and abilities that are used to interact with humans, at times playing tricks on them and at times helping them.[4] Legends describe different dokkaebi in many forms and beings with a thousand faces, and dokkaebi often wear hanbok. Could this be a camo troops or maybe even an Impersonator? But sadly probably just holomask. Hwarang could be just about anything. But it’s most likely based on the warrior scholars in history. Again, this could be an HQ troops or something with tactical knowledge.
Maybe like Sudpang! in Thai (I just know from the Mili song) Don´t want to be too negative, but with some bad luck, they are just servant remotes The wiki descripes them as cavalary (with bow and arrow). Usualy this is the term for Pan Os TAGs, but I give a small portion of hope for a biker unit.
Yeah I've kinda given up on hope with CB. But it would be pretty that would be awesome! From the wiki they were also a Buddhist sect. I like the precepts for them. I tried coming up with skills based on them. Show allegiance to one's sovereign. (sa·gun·i·chung; 사군이충; 事君以忠) Veteran Treat one's parents with respect and devotion. (sa·chin·i·hyo; 사친이효; 事親以孝) Exhibit trust and sincerity amongst friends. (gyo·u·i·sin; 교우이신; 交友以信) Chain of command Never retreat in battle. (im·jeon·mu·toe; 임전무퇴; 臨戰無退) Religious/Courage Exercise discretion when taking a life. (sal·saeng·yu·taek; 살생유택; 殺生有擇) Not Imppetuous
I hope we don't get more holo. YJ gets them more than any other faction, and they always feel like a wasted opportunity.
As a Korean, here are my quick speculation on them. Hwarang : Headquarter unit with leadership abilities. They were (kind of) inspiring teenager cadets, so maybe inspiring leadership? Also, after I write all speculations, they are the most long-range affiliated name among today's announcements. Sulsa : I wish this would be "Soolsa", not "Sulsa". Anyway, I would be really disappointed if this is not a hacker. From their symbols, they might share something with Sulyong, but I can't find a reason for them to be remotes (maybe because I have no YJ background). Haetae : They are guardian beasts represents the law, but in Korea they are also known for preventing fire. I guess some visor (MSV or BMV) and CC here. Sulyong : I have no clear image that appears with this. Water dragon for sure, so I guess aquatic terrain but Jujak has no Immunity(Continuous damage). Also it makes me feel they hide in the water, so maybe Camo or Hidden deployment. Dokkaebi : They have a lot of different images in Korea. They can be tricksters such as goblins but they can also be a brute physical forces like ogres. If someone ask me to choose one of the five for a TAG name, I would choose this one.
