Well, looks like ISS is NOT going to get a make over like Morats or MO. It's Bakunin. And no battle pack so Yu Jing gets nothing next year.
Sorry I shouldn't say we will get nothing. I hope we at least get a figure here and there. I don't see any more box sets coming out unless the do re-sculpts. But we need to face that we might get the Haqqislam treatment for a while. they had only 18 new figures come out in 3 years! I'd still like at least these to come out Liu Xing Spitfire and/or Multi-Rifle Guilang hacker Daofei hacker Krit Kikram Feuerbach That's it! There's nothing else I can't easily proxy or don't really use. Hell, my camo/jump troops sometimes don't appear on the table until turn 3 if at all. So maybe not worth it?
Good candidates. I would like to see some Yu Jing love but honestly on my personal painting shedule I could use a break from orange. I still have to paint Tians, Jujaks and some backlog Celstials, Zhanshis and the comic chars oh and fortunatly I got a Defiance Lei Gong on my Desk. I think latest in autum, when the book comes, we will see some uptdates. Maybe ISS or somewhere in between the three big dates. I guess 23 will be a year were CB is busy with none core stuff.
I do not think Krit needs a new sculpt, his figure can cover all options, I would rather see any other model get a sculpt, I would not object to a Jujak engineer.
There's a lot of other factions that have had re-sculpts of characters so why not us? Right now I can only think of Sun Tze. Joan has more than 4, Ko Dali has had 3, McMurough 3, Uxia 3, etc etc. I think on the positive of ISS not getting a revamp, I was waiting to see if they made changes. Now I can get the Deva and Dakinis without worrying that they were going to take them out or something. Money for other games too.
Krit still holds up really well, he doesn't need a resculpt. He also doesn't really have the legacy with the creators or the fanbase to have an alternate profile sculpt. Remember that McMurrough has only ever had one sculpt at a time. Joan has only ever had two (normal and mobility), Uxia only ever had two (Regular and Covert action) so a Krit resculpt with Feueurbach would probably remove the current one from the catalogue.
He may not need it but I want it. It would look cool. While we are at it. I know it wouldn't happen next year but I'd love a general release Bixie. There's no way I can afford $50+ for one figure and a few little things in the ITS season box. There's sure as no way I'll win her since our damn warcor can't seem do do more than one tournament a year. If I can't afford the ITS then I certainly can't travel to a tournament on the chance of winning a figure.
The first Krit that should get a new sculpt is the FD HSG one. With n4 that particular profile lost chain colt so the model is no longer WYSIWYG. There is no news of Fiddler regular relase 3 months after season change, and we already know about releases until march. Based on that I wouldn't expect Bixie sooner that around mid 2024.
I think the only thing I care about is to get a Guilang combi. The only one available right now is the BSG that's in the action pack. Why? It's only one of the most taken troops in YJ! I really don't understand there logic for releasing stuff. It's like they don't play their own game! There should have been one years ago. 46% of vanilla took it in season 13 and they only come out with one.
Me too. Damn it - your are right! One of the reasons I want a Feuerbach Krit is that want at least the big guns are shown. So that is only a minor issue and I understand why profil-wise, but still ... As I bought the old one (before the BSG came out) I tought damn, know you buy the oldest combi available for new and paint it up, they will come out with a hacker or combi Guilang soon. Sadly not. In contrast I want to see the use-rate of the MSR. 0 or something between 1 and 3 %
I don't think the data went down to specific profiles. I'd like to know on some too. I know I haven't used the MSR in many years, but the hacker and FO, most of the time. Then the minelayer. In the video that did the breakdown you will also see the ones were less than 1% or 0. Hulang, Crane, Qiang Gou for example. Though some of that is that no one may want to proxy. But the top troops were kuang shi, Doaying, Guilang, Long Ya. I would have thought more of Celestial Guard since you must take one for KS. Probably because they would only take the one and no more.
I'm not sure why I'm keeping this up. It's a bit depressing to me but I'm sure it's fantastic if you are a Nomad player . Already Nomads have 9 new figures just at the beginning of the year, then we know in March, 10 more, and followed up through the year with more. Keep it up. Good the see how the relases will be spread. YJ is quite now and with the Bakunin rework it is quite clear that they will get more minis. I know we still miss some options in YJ ... Liu Xing Spitfire and Multi Rifle when? but hey the good news is, we have time to paint our stuff. OMG Jujaks were late 2021?! I didn´t paint them until now and I have Steel Phalanx to do and to make things worse, I have a lazy painting phase because personal RL things happens ... so from my PoV there are enough YJ to do ;-)

I am not sure how you count, for example Joan MA has two versions, one with sword and one with spitfire. Is not a resculpt, because he has no mini before. He has one lim ed and one regular. Had no models before their actual sclupts, afaik. MP gets a lim ed in spring. Will get resculpt version #3 with the Bakunin AP (Defiance, Regular, Lim Ed). Also has two - Defiance and Regular. Two again. Lim Ed & Regular. Same same.
I wasn't counting Defiance since a game that only a few people actually have. As I said at the start I included Ltd. editions. While I guess not a re-sculpt, I think having more than one weapon version should count. That's still more than many others get of one. Sorry I was wrong about Lupe. I thought the new character in the Dire foes was going to be Lupe.
Variants of Yu Jing characters?! Never going to happen. We are lucky we get one. There's been no Sun Tze sniper for how long? At least he's not good so... Their proxy rules was an excuse to never need to do weapon variant models.
