Okay, given that Holomask is maybe about 1 pts ?! Its not a big saving. So its everytime the FO ;-) because the minelayers are an easy guess and I bet the BSG is the less taken loadout.
Kanren with deployables on every profile would be on my wishlist, it is really hard to pass on them as they do allow for a decent roadblock if you got to go second.
This made me think that a good use of a command token could be to deploy a deployable weapon during deployment. Even if you have already done it with minelayer.
Added in November. Qiang Gao is very cool looking but he's mostly going to be used as a proxy for something else sadly. I forgot in the discussion about being hacked that he has the Veteran skill along with the ECM Hacking -3. So the only programs that work on him are Spotlight and Carbonite. The knife is cool... on someone else. I'll be cutting it off to give an actual CC specialist. So I'll be getting him because he looks cool and I like the HVT. I will see if any PanO players want Uma. Yeah, they could have basically get the Tian Gou treatment, 2 real troops and 2 traps for a full box.

About time! At this point it's hard to care. McMurder will be on his 3rd sculpt. Other than Sun Tzu, I can't think of any other YJ character that has been re-sculpted. So this will put YJ at 6 figures for 2022. We had better get something next year.
Ko Dali is on her third sculpt It's mostly that it took well into N3 and the digital sculpting age to get Yu Jing characters that weren't Japanese or robots
I am still not sure, if I want that or not. I play both winter sectorials but both characters never made it close to any of my lists and thats not (only) because I don´t have them. Mr. Big Gao is just overshined by Shang-Ji. And the sculpt is also not overwhelming. He still looks too big for me. When I look at the profiles the PH 12 is a big downside vs. the Shang. AP HMG vs DAM 16 HMG is clearly AP for me. Shang brings so much more useful stuff to the table than Gao. Lt. LvL 2 in WB makes the list 41 pts more expensive (Bixe is the only NCO). Okay now the good things: Veteran on a Lt. is very nice to have, especialy for an active Lt. ECM -3 powerd up by a tinbot gives very good hacking protection ... but Oblivion will not work, so for what? Stray carbonite or spot light. Idk I am still not found with him. I think he can shine in vanilla, but you still need a back up CoC. And the none Lt. version says: 4 pts more and you got a TA/AP HMG that ignores terrain has a -6 firewall and dodges on 14. Who cares about veteran? I hope it will be the MMR. So an alternate Defiance sculpt.
It's like they didn't know to make him like a Shang Ji or a Zuyong. Instead he's neither. He needs something that actually sets him apart. I quick thin to make him different is to change his BS Attack +1 DMG, to (Breaker). Something that can actually take down a damn bear! Even possible for TAGs. That would make me consider taking him.
He's a Zuyong officer wearing a scaled down Mowang armour. Now don't go saying that of the 4 attributes that sets Mowang armour apart from Zuyong armour (ARM, PH, Mimetism, NWI), Qiang only has 0.5 of them (ARM)
Jeez that's dumb. Obviously story means nothing. A modification of something means it keeps the same attributes. He's not even as good as a actual Mowang.
B4 HSG and Dogged Do it. The gun in his hand is actually a model that has been heavily modified for combat against armoured opponents in narrow ship corridors, making it function more like a high rate of fire shotgun than one might expect from a regular HMG.
It's already shown they don't care about the background. So not going to happen (and since they came out with an HMG model, even less likely). I decided not to buy the set. I'll find another way to get the HVT. He looks cool but then so do many others. I'm not going to buy him just to get a proxy. If they want to sell him, they need to give us a reason other than looking good. Either make him cheaper with frenzy or some other BS (Bull sh!+) rule like they do for their favorite factions, or more expensive and really good. I don't know if the set will do that good since Sorensen isn't that fantastic. She's better than Gao though. She's at least a specialist with some good movement skills. Sorry for the salt. I finally broke down and bought the stupidly expensive Jujak box and realized, like the Shang Ji, I'll probably only ever use one of them. At least I wasn't stupid enough to spend over $40 for the Tian Gou. I'm not paying that much for two regular figures and two Madtraps. If I'm paying that much money for two figures, I'm getting MCP figures.
I don´t want to discuss prices here, but I want to say that I don´t regret buying the Jujaks. And yes they were not cheap. Unfortunatly I had not painted them yet (some Aleph interactions here ... Marut). I think a WB player can have a pretty good outcome with the first Jujak and be fine. Even with the new linkability they are just not unique enough to have a great impact. But I will definitly try them out and this is what you should do - just test them, make a list with them and use them - in the end its just dices. I am fully aware that in most common games you choose things that work. How long i did not use Zuyong ML? How often I will use Jujak ML then? Just try them out. Only my opionion ;-) And yes in YJ we have too much HI that is quite too similar. A good way to use rarley used minis is a campaign were you use your whole miniatur pool and try to avoid doubles. So if you have about 1200 K of YJ try to make four 300 pts armys and use up all minis. Oh and a word on the Failsafe DF box: I also think that I will not buy it - at least not now. I explained it above. I was never only near the thought that I wan´t to inculde Gao in my list. He need a different approch. I like the idea with the HSG but its up to CB to fix him. Spoiler: Uma Uma Version here is a DAM 14 breaker combi with good terrain skills (not rare in SWF), mimetism and SO for nearly 30 pts. That was it. Her SMG Version with Camo/FD8" and EM Mines is so much more useful.
