I'm glad to see that we're throwing out any value in the point system.

    I'm really excited for this!
But I do start to worry a bit about RTF's troops. Both the Khawarij and Zhayedan seem very fragile for their points cost.
In fact, most troops in the sectorial do other than Tarik, Al Fasids and Maggie.
No visual modifiers either other than the Tuaregs.

I guess bio immunity helps to give our doctors a moment to shine. Plenty of ways to get them up field or in hard to reach spots in any case.

Would it be to much to ask what the distributor site is called?

I'd be willing to pay SWC or 0.5 or 1.0 for the MSV2, because it's a pretty high tech and valuable addition to our forces. But I certainly won't complain if we don't have to.

And the point cost is significant but I don't know if it will be prohibitive. 35 point MSV, 32 point Spitfire, 30 point Doctor+, 27 point boarding shotgun x 2 is 151 points. Yes, that's a lot of points for five models, but it is a strong offensive piece with a surprisingly mobile specialist. 149 points is plenty to fill out a list with ghulam, naffatun, and whatever else we like. It does make it hard to fit in Saladin, Tarik, the Maghariba and all of our goodies, but thats OK.

I also don't know if they're as fragile as we often say. Yes, they're lacking in ARM and don't have mimetism or anything, but they do have BS13 and PH13. They can defend themselves quite effectively by shooting or dodging. With link bonuses, that's pretty tough.

After looking through the site I found the February pre-releases. Here are the other models & boxes besides the Khawarji.

I hope not. That'd be a waste of their super jump. Zhayedan, however, could be a fun wildcard. Especially with more marksmanship profiles.

Hold up for what? I do t really feel like I’m rushing into anything here. Except committing to playing a Khawarij+Tarik link 100% of the time, if available. That might be a bit of a rush considering the speculated pts vs. survivability.

Either way, I’m 100% excited for these models to be available.

Haven’t ever played them in a link, which would obviously give them some survivability, but they die like flies to a stiff wind when I run them solo. The only sure way I’ve protected them is saving enough orders to super-jump/prone on a tall roof.

In my personal experience, these units are purely offensive. (Which I love).

    For the actual release, effendi.

We may be swapping wildest guesses all month long, but we are likely to be surprised when the trus look of things is revealed to us. And yet I believe whipping up the fanatic peat and making predictions, and voicing high hoopes does nothing but ante up people's expectations. When one's dreams get confronted with reality it is rare to not be disillusioned... CB has long decided how the new Khawarijs will be. Nothing we say or do is going to change a single point about them now.
So, why inflate our expectations and get ourselves eventually frustrated by the reality?

I'm keeping my expectations low, but it's fun to speculate while we wait.
I do really hope Maggie gets availability 2 in RTF, just so I can keep them reserve thanks to Saladin.

I wish our expectations of Tarik being able to form Core/Haris with Khawarijs are true.
If so, I'd definitely try out a link of HRL, Mk12 and AP Rifle Tarik.
HRL because it's a relatively cheap, but powerful long-range weapon, Mk12 for dealing with Camo/ODD and performing smoke shenanigans with Fasid, Tarik for... many things, including tank-hunting, DAM 14 impact/direct templates, speculative fire and reliable CC.
I'd love to run this link.

So, a khawarij link would look a lot like a hollowmen link, right? How have the hollowmen been doing? I feel like the second wound on the HM makes them better than the khawarij would be. Non-hackable and an msv2 worth the trade?

Don't think so. The 2 wounds on HM are essential and they aren't really hackable with the Tinbot and Fary Dust. And they can be "healt" by an engineer back to full health.

    Edit: Hollowman Link does great.

Hollowmen are a very fun link to play, and pretty optimized point wise, but with some major drawbacks.

To me the Khawarij look better as a haris than a Core.

I believe this due to the fact they are only 1W and don’t have the weapon kit that the hollowmen have.

I've been saying for quite a while that with Khawarij mobility a Core might become uniweldly. A Haris is likely to be way more manageable.
Alas, we are yet to see :)

Does anyone else feel like the factions are becoming way less diverse as time goes on? I would like RTF to bring some uniqueness back to Haqqislam.

Tunguska, IA, Varuna, OSS, and TAK all play extremely differently – I wouldn't worry too much about Ramah feeling like anything else. It will probably be the most "Haqq" out of all of the sectorials.

Well... how are they less diverse? What would have to be done to make them more diverse?

I'm afraid the problem is - the more sectorials are out there, the more difficult is to make every single one of them different. It is a spectrum, and it is gettig filled with entries. Also: keep in mind they all have to remain competitive / effective against each other.
