Because the Grenzer... XD My point was that I think it's a better idea to leave the starter and the Riot boxes out, and pick instead the Alguaciles SWC box and the Brigadas, you will probably save enough to add Avicenna, and now you have the painbulance if you want... Instead of a lone Brigada, 3 combi alguaciles, three riot grrrrrls! (of which we still don't know who they link with)... So very broken, to my mind. However, I can see how this pack is a trap to point buyers to the Corregidor 300pts box and then to the Nomads as a whole. Unless the Hawwa profile changes in StarCo, the Hawwas are Regular...
Nah... there's no way a profile that nice is.... OOOH you're right. Shiny! That makes Bandit in main group + Hardcase in secondary a decent build. Nice. I'm not certain what you're getting at. Taking the Irmandhino never threatens an S4 bot. My meta's consensus is that Irmandhino + Zondbot (S1) uses the Impetuous Order but since the Zondbot isn't impetuous it can go where it likes. This makes a very 'defensive' deployment of the Irmandhino really solid. Deploy him >4" into total cover, then on his Extremely Impetuous Order he moves to the edge of the cover + the Zondbot moves 6", he then smokes / dodges; on his Irregular order Zondbot moves 6" and he moves back to his starting position. Basically it's 11pts for reliable Smoke + EXTREMELY efficient engineer. If we get mixed Alg + Brawler links then you can couple this with a core-linked MSV2 Sniper; even if not, then a Brawler Haris + Irmandhino + Hardcase as the second order group sounds like a wonderful idea: Starco ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 3 2 1 BRAWLER (Multispectral Visor L2) MULTI Sniper / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 28) BRAWLER (Fireteam: Haris) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17) BRAWLER Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) HARDCASE FRONTIERSMAN Tactical Bow, Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) ZONDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) 2 SWC | 86 Points
My thinking comes from a supposed offensive strategy where a Drone moves upfield in tandem with the Irmandinho. The Engineer provides Smoke cover and so on. Being struck by Fury in enemy territory whilst being on bot guard duty then seems like asking for trouble. Bluntly put, half the reason you pick the 8 point Engineer is to fix the bot and he´s a liability. Obviously a defensive back-and-forth approach you describe is likely to work better, but simply wasn´t my imagined scenario.
I think I am starting to use the old Pi-Well Miniature as my Irmandinho-Zondbot, so it looks different compared to the other standard Zondbot
@xagroth Yeah, they should sell the Al Hawwa mini in a single blister but that just means I'll use a proxy instead. I'm certainly not giving up on using Al Hawwa, the unit is too good not to use.
