Yeah, as much as I think they're really cool, S5 HI with HMG and Feuerbach has been done a few times now.
Getting something like yan hao, multi hmg, pair of missiles\hrl or even hmc would be huuuge. with 4-4 mov and bs 14 even for 70 points it would be quite powerfull.
I'd love to see something different for this army. Like balancing them around having no "banned" weapons, skills and ammos. That would be hard to do because that mean no shock, explosive, E/M... but creating a competitive army without those will make them unique.
maybe some kind of heavy plasma? Double plasma sniper rifle or just one since he have full auto. i hope to see combination of plasma and conventional weapons.
Who watches the watchmen? That's another idea, full forbidden ammo; fire, e/m, viral and exp to bore.
sooo, according to design video, both delta and gangbuster will have combi+stopper what stopper is? i guess it's some kind of stun shit. Very narrow application for me. kappa quite standard, with smg option. Sirius will have redfury, weapons for omega not shown, only feuerbach. Looks quite.... boring. BTW second gamma weapon choice - redfury. NIIIIIIIICE way to kill hipe.
If you think Stun has a narrow application you haven't been paying attention ;) Personally I expect Adhesive, but both versions would work for me. For Omega I expect some kind of HMG, maybe Multi one.
Since when stopping HI/TAG rampage is a narrow application? Bu I'd also shoot it in active against anything heavy when I wouldn't have a dedicated AP weaponry nearby. Or if the range would be better.
For the Light Riotstopper, I think of something like the Blitzen, nothing to do with the appearance of the two weapons.
since there are not so many HI and TAGs does not exists, and this guys are assault troopers, you will not use it as aro regularly if it have high armor, it will also have high bts (with little exceptions). Make no sense to remove chance to crit and damage with 3 shots for probable b1 damage 13 stun shot. So, quite narrow. .
Maybe in your meta, I see - or use - them quite often. This impacts the value we see in different tools. Being an assault troper doesn't mean you act only in active turn. One of the subtle but nasty tactics is to advance with an assault unit, leave it on opponent's flank, and force him to lose orders to deal with it instead of going after yoru main force or objectives. Delta might be a good unit for that. Additionally Gangbuster might be a Camo unit, well suited to being a speed bump. There are quite few units with ARM5/6 and BTS 3. If this will be a template weapon it'll also ignore any cover mods. Adhesive might screw with anything sporting low to average PH. Bottom line is, metas and playstyles differ. Neither you nor me are an Infinity oracle. Let's not discourage other players from considering different approach from what we deem as the optimal one.
