I've been toying with the idea of making a third table of terrain, and want to leverage it so its Bushido friendly (GCT games). I'm thinking of having walled 2x2 historic area with historic japanese buildings, inside a yu-jing urban area. This way I have a can pull out the historic stuff and use it for bushido. I've got a zuzzy mat I'm willing to cut up to make 2x2 mats and other pieces such as roads and paths. I've already got some river/water pieces I can use, to make it an interesting parkish area. I hear the scale of most historical Japaneses building on the market are a little off for infinity. Does anyone have any photos with infinity models I can look at. I'm looking at starting with MAS Kokkyo series. I like the walls and shrines for the historic site, but can use a couple other building to flush out the historic site. The other buildings in the bundle look like a good set to start that 'modern' yu-jing area. I'm specifically looking to avoid pre-painted since I want to make the colors consistent per area. So no Platics craft. Rules wise I'm also looking at making a couple of 'Shaded areas' to put in the historic site. Each area will have a large tree trunk. The shaded area represents an area where there is a tree that blocks all LOS above the height of the walls. Having a simple rule to apply. If LOS ever goes above 4 inches (either end) and touches a shaded area the LOS is Blocked. I don't want the historic area to be a snipers feeding ground. I was contemplating the idea of total tree coverage (objective room rule, there the wall shave infinite height), but I like the idea that there are some LOS into the area, but not completely open.
