Yeah it was in a vid recently, up to two Mobile Brigada in Alguacile teams, Tsyklons count as MB for joining fireteams, Daktari and Lupe Wildcard. Definitely will make MB very useable when you can put a HMG and ML with three Alguaciles.
MO get Father Knights in OS teams and excellent Wildcard Santiagos so yes, definitely MO get mixed HI links.
Downgrading in terms of "power" of the list and probability of winning. Taking "suboptimal" choices, and lists. Something like taking on purpose Hollow Man link to Rescue ;P
They got. But the question is about best HI links. Old Hosp+Mag link beats every other (current) MO link hands down, not to mention it's all HIs.
1st Yu jing with their 16 types, Crane train, Hsien Haris, Zuyong multi purpose monster, and yan huo firebase. 2nd Nomads, with 2 ultra efficient links and toolbox HI like the Queazy borat or task master. 3rd Probably ariadna, as vet kazaks and backjacks cost no points in a faction of models which cost no points and come with good defensive camo screen options in mid field to protect your investments.

It honestly did surprise me how well-off Ariadna HI are nowadays. Blackjacks and Ratniks are more or less proper HI, and what with there being the idea nowadays of ''Shock Immune 1W NWI is also an HI'', Vet Kazaks are pretty neat HI. I will admit the Mormaers hold a soft spot in my servos among Ariadnan HI. Fascinating stuff nonetheless.
A Mobile Brigada ML, Tsyklon Spitfire, Valyria (who is an Alguacile for fireteam compo now) and a couple of FOs will be a strong option I think.
I need to get back to binge building in Infinity Army. Gotta consume all that HI related knowledge and ideas.
Not much of an addition, but since people keep mentioning more than one Ariadna options, there are also Wolvers. With their 2W and ARM 3 they are HI in pretty much every aspect aside from classification (and thus specific weaknesses). They do have their woes though - range, competition with either cheap stuff (Caledonia), reliable stuff or cheap&reliable stuff (vanilla). And full core requiring inclusion of an Lt in a sectorial where everything depends on him and his abilities...
Yu Jing / Invincible Army. If you have any doubt, please play another faction (and bend to our raw power). There is no place for doubt in Yu Jing. But there is plenty of place for new HIs; because we don't have enough of them. We'll never have enough of them as long as they feature 1.99 Wounds.
I always wound it funny how the Wolvers are more like HI than most other actual Ariadnan HI. Something about that just strikes me as funny. There is never such a thing as too many HI, no matter what every local player keeps telling me. But there is such a thing as too few HI, most definately.
I like the Charontid and also the Anathematic. Which are the gentleman's, patrician's choice for a HI.

I am a huge fan of HI. It is a shame that when I picked up Infinity Invincible Army was not a thing. However, now that IA is released I already have Nomads and Combined Army, and both are very good on the Heavy Infantry front, so I feel like getting into IA would be a bit of overkill. You see CA come in pretty low on the HI ranking for me. As it stands have 4 and three are undisputable top tier death machines, you just can't afford more than one. The last one of course is the suryat which generally features in lists because it's the only one available in quantity, they have their uses but they're still costly with average stats (PHY 14 suryats now!), I'd personally like to see more cheap and cheerful CA HI like an up spec unidron, ARM 3 ,1 STR, V:NWI and a plasma rifle etc or a morat assault HI
