Hello fellow Tohaa players, I recently joined Tohaa since this faction is really interesting for me. So far I hav not played a game with them yet, but this is gonna change soon. My first enemy will be Haqislam and the mission will be "Frostbyte" with ITS 10 rules. I prepared two lists with pros and cons. I know he will bring a lot of template weapons and some holoprojector units. List 1 - Ectros, Makaul and Kamel will form a Triad and Ectros will get a SymbioMate - Sakiel, Makaul and Kamael will form a Triad as well - Nikoul (with second symbio mate) and Kumotail will be placed in the back (have to make sure I am safe for drop troops -Sakiel,Kamael and Kaeltar in the second troop are a triad as well. Really? You want to know how we deal with holoprojector but denies us the best possibility? When I must choose a list, I'd prefer to number 2. But it lacks on Makaul and Chaksa Auxiliar Why do you use in your third triad a Kamael FO and not a third Makaul? Why do you use an Kumotail with two Chaksa? Switch one Sakiel VCR to one with the LRL. Why using the DA Makaul over the Viral one? Why wasting 1.5 SWC on the Nikoul? Take a second Rasail. You have already 4 specialists and you can't use the Auxiliar for activating the consoles. The Kumotail is very fragile too. If you want another button pusher, take a second Clipsos FO. I'm not a great fan of the Nicoul. With him it will be hard to win FTF rolls. But I don't know what else I would take for 30-33 points. Edit: Forget all I've said about the Nicoul. Realised that I allways missed the CH: MIMETISM from foxhole state.
Have you considered taking Neema Sataar with spitfire instead of the Ectross? If you do go with any of the HI options, I would suggest taking a Kamael WHD so you can put up Fairy Dust to give them a little more hacking protection, and the 24 point Kosuil to take in the link with them. As an added bonus it has D-charges and can try to take out a heater if your Makaul's go down. Nikouls are very useful as bullet magnets, and mine can be useful for protecting your heaters. The main thing you have to think about when using them is that your opponent is very likely going to kill it, but sometimes at the cost of 4 or more orders, and maybe even a key piece. When deploying them I have found it is useful to put them in a spot where they cane fail guts to get into total cover. That way if they get stuck going against a unit with superior firepower, they can get out of site, and then your opponent will have to worry about them popping back up in your active turn.

Isn't Haqq's holoecho just a cheap link filler? Also best discover against holoechoes is shooting at them :)
There's Hafza, the link filler you're referring to, but the only have l1. The Ayyar, an HI, has holo l2 and surprise shot l2.
