Yes. You can't have a fireteam of any sort unless you have a profile that allows it. In this case, only Duo Maggies can create fireteam duos.

 

No, for that case the a normal maghariba should suffice. For a Haris youd also only need one Haris profile.

 

Ah. Good catch, I misunderstood. Yeah, an FTO rafiq can duo with a non-duo maggie.. So @8vius here are the options as I understand them:

maggie duo+ any rafiq fto
maggie duo+ any wildcard
rafiq fto + any maggie
rafig fto + any wildcard.

Now I can check it looks like the Rafiq has Duo so Rafiq+Leila is legit.

I think this is usually what you'll want to do. My only thought with bringing Leila herself in the Duo is that she can help defend against enemy repeaters and pitchers, where the Rafiq can't.

Yeah, that's the main problem with running any remote to use as a hacking attack vector against other hackers. Instead you can only really safely position it as anti-hacker point defense in ARO.

 

In regards to the "counts as ghulams" rule, could I use the Khawarij haris profile and make a Haris with him, ghulams, or naffatuns?

Or in this instance could only Khawarij join the khawarij haris profile, as ghulams and naffatun don't count as Khawarij?

Latter is correct as Ghulam don’t have Haris linkability.

 

How would you build RTF, assuming Limited Insertion? I'm having trouble as I find we don't have that many good "tarpit" options. No ghazis, minelayers or good AROs at the LI level.

Have to build for scenarios where you don't get first turn, and if you're up against super strong first turners such as IA with their pain trains.

 

Play like PanO, setup a wall of Dakka. The Ghulam BS will be ok with FT bonuses but with so many troops counting as ghulams, doesn't need to be LI sticking their heads out. Plus the option is there to also provide bait the enemy will burn order to zero in on: Maggie, Namurr etc.
