Greetings, There is this situation that seems a still unclear, but happens -very- frequently in our games. ----- Question #1 Trooper A shoots in the back of Trooper B (while in ZoC) Trooper B declares change facing. Trooper A beats Trooper B in a FTF roll. Trooper B survives, fails guts, but has nowhere to go to improve its cover. Can trooper B turn around? We had Hellois say that we could, by quoting a rule that is not even in the main rule book (a rule that is part of the player introduction rule packets), but then CB released a FAQ that edited the guts rule in spanish making it contradict the SOLVED post by Hellois. Hellois Answer https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/solved-guts-rule-discrepancy-spanish-v-english.26397/page-2 New Spanish Wiki http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/es/Tirada_de_Agallas New English Wiki http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Guts_Roll Old english rule: Can't turn. Old spanish rule: Can turn. Hellois: English rules can turn. FAQ: Neither can turn. Could we get the SOLVED post removed as it is no longer in line with the rule? Assuming the FAQ takes priority as it was published after. Thanks <3 ----- Question #2 If that trooper is hit by a boarding shotgun in template mode, even without being able to improve its cover, it could just move like 1/2 a inch to get out of the template and then proceed to turn around? Is that correct? ----- Thank you very much for your time! <3
CB didn't write the rules on this too clearly, and have contradicted themselves multiple times, so presumably whoever is friends with the TO gets to choose how it goes.
If the guts doesn't involve moving them you can't turn around. The only means to turn would be warning! Or succeeding at a change facing. I think it needs to be more explicit if that is truly intended to be the case or to include a bit in guts to turn around even if they can't move. Re 2: I think that is correct yes as per the template rules
