I was curious about people's thoughts on the Cyberghost after the above - it isn't as awesome as the pitcher options some other factions get, but hitting on 14s 8-16 isn't bad, and I like the access to White Noise for messing up MSV2 snipers. On paper I like the mix of cheap deployable repeaters, cheap Kappa Hackers, and relatively cheap (and useful) pitchers along with the Sirius teams, but it does become something you have to lean in to in your list construction rather than something you can just do as an afterthought. The main thing I've noticed when tinkering with lists over the past few days is that O-12 seems to struggle with efficient anti armour options. There are no missile launchers above BS12 and no AP HMGs at all. You can bring your TAG of course, but that heavily defines the list. There's quite a few good close combat options and some panzerfausts, but I get the impression that you should be trying to use your adhesive weapons to fill that gap and I'm curious to see how that works in practice. One thing I particularly like about both O-12 and Starmada is that they both have a lot of different, impressive specialist profiles. They definitely feel to me like a faction which does better on missions where killing is less important as a general rule, which seems fitting to the theme of the faction too.
You have Mono CCW (Casanova and Cuervo) You have PARA ammo everywhere, and no one like them, even TAGs You have E/M CCW (Crusher and Bronze) You have EXP CCW (bonus: Shona Carano has AP+EXP) Every MULTI brings AP
Yeah, that's roughly what I thought. The problem with all of those options is that they are comparatively close range, and in the case of the PARA ammo they can be undone by engineers and still provide an order to the opponent, which makes them all less order efficient than just having good missile launchers. I don't think it is an insurmountable weakness by any means but it definitely feels like one worth highlighting as a shortcoming in the faction.
If your taking cyberghosts for the white noise. Be sure to take one or two team Sirus. Forward deploying some repeaters lets them gives them some extra reach and the Red Fury Sirius agent is a fantastic MSV link team hunter.
