+1, enough of Ariadna in Nomad lists thread. Interventor LT is good enough if you have at least one Repeater or REM or rely on HI. All three options are viable in 400 LI list, otherwise I`d go with Intruder LT or Taskmaster LT. Intruder is 0 SWC and has better defence as Camo, Taskmaster can be used as turn 3 strike force. And yeah, I`d bring E/M stuff, it`s very nasty against expensive models. Also AVA 4 Zondbots are great to do minesweeping and similar sidejobs.
I am the OP and I am very interested in Ariadna conversations, they are my true faction. As for the interventor: Unfortunately, they are not viable for Corregidor so I don't have this beautiful model. If I play against vanilla Nomads, Interventors will certainly be a problem for me. I have reason to believe that not everybody will play Nomads at this tournament. I have opted for the Intruder hacker and the Bandit KHD, so yes, Interventors are a nightmare. I have decided against putting a hacker into the Brigada link, because i have had problems in the test runs with the linked hacker having problems with doing what she wanted to do because the enemy had LOF to a team member. Alternatively, if the hacker ARO hacks, the other Brigadas cannot reset. I will probably regret the circumstance that I don't have a resistant HI hacker.
Remeber that, barring repeaters (and then, maybe even so, according to the rules subforum...) you have SS2, which includes SS1 and lets you wait for the enemy to declare their second short order before declaring ARO... against a Core of Brigadas with a Tinbot N2 (-6 to enemy hackers) and with Fairy Dust (-3 to enemy hackers, and +3 to your BTS...). So I doubt even Interventors will want to risk a roll at 6!
I ended up place 8 out of 16. I scored two minor victories and two minor losses, I think. Overall certainly not a great performance of mine. The noise irritated me so much that I only realised after game 3 that I had used the wrong list. Thus I used the list with McMurrough and the Iguana three times, the list with the 3 Intruders was only used once. I played twice against the Imperial Service, once against Vanillla Yu Jing, and once against the Onyx Force. The Intruder Hacker excelled. In game 2 (Decapitation) , he went on a self-sacrifical rampage to successfully kill the enemy HVT. In game 4, (Looting and Sabotage) he killed the Ninja that was securing my HVT, depriving my opponent of the 1 OP that divided us from a draw. In the game I played against the Onyx force, he possessed an alien TAG that then killed a Samatarian. I loathe those foul creatures. I have never possessed a TAG before in my life. I lost the game nevertheless. The Iguana revealed itself as a questionable, but interesting piece of equipment. It blew up every time, but the pilot could then be placed in good positions. McMurrough only killed an HVT, thats it. I guess he prefers to work with my Caledonians. The Bandit Killer Hacker secured 1 OP during game 4, that's it. He never hacked anything, only failed in his attempt to super glue enemy models. The Brigadas were a bit unlucky with the armor rolls, but the missile launcher and the HMG got many enemy killed, including some monstrous Chinese HI with two missile launchers. Overall, I have to say that I am not too happy with CB's mission design. I thought it got better, but I realised that in many missions, the Data Trackers are a bit too important for my taste. I ended up winning the card that explains you how to kidnap the HVT. What a joke that classified missions deck is. I guess I am getting too old to be successful in such tournaments, but the players here are a nice bunch of people I like spending a day with every now and then.
