Went from underwhelmed to wholly disapointed.

Funny thing, in my mind this sniper was the agema one.

So I guess we have Nagas, Daysus, Agemas, Teucer and Atalanta, and yet another one in the pipe (not counting Dakinis & Thorakitai)

Why can't it be a proxy... Aleph half could be 6 orders vs Kazaks 7... with a new proxy sniper and proxy mk 3? XD

Jumper rules seem a bit advanced for a 2p starter box and I would think at low order count even a single order would make a big difference.

Besides, we already have a mk2 sniper proxy.

I was entirely jesting - for a starter set you are completely right that the proxy rules would be too much

I think we will see the dasyus collected in a two player and the existing one recut. It shows its age more than the others.

On the Ratnik: if it has an HMG or Molotok then the katuysha/urgan (however its spelled) seems much more likely. No one wants an HI with only a 16" weapon.

For the rest of Kazzaks I see: three line (right side) the "come here" pose silhouette from the starter (second left of the Ratnik) scout (top most fig, the coat is visible), and from size alone probably a Vet Kazak (the "sword" model, it has a back pack with kit lime a vet).

This would suggest the "come here" guy is medium infantry of some kind, either something new or a Tankhunter.

As for the last silhouette? No clue, though maybe that is the tankhunter

    Thoughts anyone

Here's a really far-out theory for that Aleph sniper: a second profile for Atalanta available to OSS and not ASS with a new sculpt to match. *mind blown*

I mean, I think that'd be turbo-awesome myself, if exceedingly unlikely. Either way, $5 says she's in OSS based on her existing fluff.

It could also be something completely new to flesh out Vedic.

Untitled.png Well, at least CA players get to be excited about the new Raicho and it's Dispenser, right?

Probably more likely than my harebrained idea (I've just always liked Atalanta, for whatever reason)!

But honest question: with at least two (very capable) MSR's already available to them in the Naga and Dasyu (with proxy and Atalanta as distinct possibilities as well), how is the addition of another sniper--if that's what that silhouette is--"fleshing out" Vedic?

I'd just find that surprising. Vedic, based on the units we're familiar with, certainly has gaps that need filling. But I wouldn't put "snipers" at the top of that list.

Maybe a new Fireteam choice, with the sniper coming in the core set and a unit box of other profiles coming later (like Grenzers).

Maybe it's a new Deva profile with a Sniper?

I have my doubts whether we'll see a second core fireteam in Vedic, otherwise this would make a lot of sense to me. Just a feeling!

That's definitely possible, and if they become linkable, it could dovetail with what @colbrook theorized as well.

EDIT: I just noticed that I'd forgotten that Dakini's have a MSR option as well...

I also believe Atalanta will be in OSS. However, I don't think she needs a new sculpt, the current one is really emblematic. I am more on the new Dasyus sculpt, the old one feels old indeed (plus everything is wrong about the pose)

I also stand with Yojamesbo, we already have plenty of snipers, if we really have to have another sniper, to have a MSR + MSV for example, then just give access to Agemas.

I think he's stood up rather well, myself, but my copy of that figure is borderline unusable now because the looooong barrel of his rifle has gotten so unstable having been bent out of shape one too many times.

I think the yellows are Dakinis.
    1. Would be Deva / Danavas. Silhouette is feminine.
    2. Dasyus Sniper / Deva Sniper / Newwhateversniper. I would say feminine Silhouette as well
    3. I would tend to say Male

I can't decide which is the 7th ALEPH. I am 90% sure we will have an Asura in the starter, either it is a male asura on #3 or it's the 7th I can't find.

Apologies for the horrible drawing, I effing hate drawing with a mouse :confounded:

The missing 7th one is a hidden deployed dasyu...^.^ ....or the new TO asura

1 & 2 are definitely female, and I think you're right that 3 looks like a dude. The two on the bottom in yellow look like robots, the one at the top...maaaaybe?

My question is about that guy above #2 (who, if marked, would form a diamond with 1, 2, & 3): given his position, he looks like he could be an Aleph troop taking cover from the Ariadnan guy around the corner. He could be #7 (assuming Mr. Lens Flare is also Aleph).

I think those you marked as dakaini, the one in the north looks like he has wings on the back so I would go for AD, maybe Garuda, maybe not.
3 is absolutely in the middle of the board and highlightend, so HVT is more than likely... which actually makes the aleph side short 2 miniatures while the ariadna side has 8 minatures anyway... so lets just get crazy and hope for impersonator :P

The Garuda has some pretty obscenely large wings so I'd highly doubt it

Garuda's wings are very recognisable and quite large there are more akin to a gao-tarsos. But you are right the unit seems different from the other 2 which are definitely dakinis.

I don't know, it seems like his weapon has a magasine not very modern optics and a long barel. Doesn't look hightechy enough for me. Plus the pose is appropriately cocky for a Russian :p
