It's actually a bit disappointing that Kriza have Courage. Not having Courage would mean that the impervious nature of their Suppression Fire would be tempered by auto-failing Guts versus Stun state ammo.
that is supposing they actually suffered from the Stun ammo. If they pass both BTS save then they make a normal guts check for surviving a hit instead of auto-failing. If they do get stunned then even if courage allows them to stay in Supp Fire (instead of auto-failing their Guts) they can't attack anymore and are at -3 to dodge. Also in the case of stun grenade (which i tried once with my riot grrl link vs i forgot which model) you also need to land the speculative grenade. Taskmaster also have courage (from martial art 1) and they give me trouble when they go supp fire, even if I hit once with a high burst weapon, he can courageously stay in suppfire for my next attack too.
Shoot from outside the range of suppression fire, use speculative fire or templates on cheap units to make your opponent chose between taking the hit or dodgeing, or if the lines of fire to the borac are too confined, just go around it... Unless it's right dead centre of the board the range of suppression fire is pretty limited, and you can still use smoke and shiv it, or if you insist on being a pano player, you can use a father knight with nimbus to reduce it's firepower allowing the power armoured priest a higher chance of surviving the charge, or eclipse it with a guarda de assaulto and intuitive attack with the flamethrower. And all that aside, just because the math has you at a disadvantage doesn't mean you're going to lose every time.
I think that Full Auto is unecessary bloat. Lv1 works as dual weapons. Dual weapons would give the same thing to the Kriza without the extra bloat. Lv2 is nearly equivalent to mimetism. It is better on a few places ( MSV, being shot through smoke) and worse on others (Having to dodge, being shot from behind). But functionally, it is *very* similar, to the point that it should simply be given mimetism instead. Neither are changes that don't already exist in the game in a form or another, but we really did not need a new rule specifically for that interaction. Kinda like "Morat" really - I think we really should have all morats simply having Religious and Veteran lv1 instead of a rule that does *exactly* that. IF Krizas are harryable on Tunguska, then *maybe* we have a reason for them not having a HMG and dual weapons so as to not reach B6. But that is still to be seen ( and could be solvable by not giving the HMG profile double weapons to begin with)
What is so hard to grok about Full Auto? Level 1 gives +1 Burst. Level 2 gives -3 BS (Like suppression fire) due to all the lead in the air (like suppression fire). If you say "skills should only modify one stat, or do the same thing better each level" I can only reply "Fireteams".
I like Fatality and Full Auto. Can I please get some in Steel Phalanx (not on Achilles, please!)? Thank you!
Yes, please not on him. Especially now that we're possibly getting a new SP player in our local meta On a slightly more serious note, having ODD on freaking everything looks like a decent alternative to FA2.
On one hand, I can see where you are coming from. On the other hand, don't give them ideas pls :P Edit: okay, for a moment I though you were talking about Fat2. Nevermind.
