From where I stand this knocks the Kriza down from textbook OP to merely fantastic. Why would that merit a price drop?

Yes. But you can't use FA1 in reactive, so it can't be stacked with SF Mode anyway. And you can't use SF Mode in active.

Yeah, I was about to say, Level 1 already didn't stack with Suppression Fire..

Well, it was the previous interpretation of the rules. But the fact that points values aren't being adjusted for this tells you that points values aren't that scientific anyway. There's a lot of "we made this unit cheaper because we wanted it to be popular" going on.

What if the upcoming changes are to supression fire beign abe to shot on active turn, as it did in n2? Thar would explain why on order "supression fire" you can not apply FA

How would that work? You can't move but can fire in Sup Fire against a target in range as a long order?

Maibe. Is just a guess. When declaring supression fire you can fire against a target, using supression fire rules. Is a complete order, so you dont gain some bonuses.

More likely, you'd be able to declare BS Attack in active turn, just like you would an ARO, while in Suppression Fire state. That is to say these two of Suppression Fire (State) Cancellation clauses:
    • The trooper declares an Order.
    • The trooper declares an ARO different from a BS Attack using Suppressive Fire.
    Become this one:
    • The trooper declares an Order different from a BS Attack using Suppressive Fire.
However, I do not think this will happen at all. Rather I think this is bringing a strong skill more in line with the performance curve that they intend these units to have, so it's a straight up nerf to a skill in an area where it is over-performing.

The MOD of -3 of Full Auto L2 does not stack up with the MOD of -3 of Suppressive Fire.
That wasnt the intention. we are wornking on edit and clarify the rule and add a FAQ

Can't blame Nomads for being spoiled by CB, can't you ?

So like nobody on CB put an eye on those threads disscussing Full Auto ? (and that everyone was pointing out how nicely this combines with Suppressive Fire for a possible -9 mods (-3 supressive, -3 full auto, -3 cover))

    Yay......

Yes, nobody else can go -9 on supression fire as kriza does, just forget there is TOs and DDOs IPs wich have more BS, and/or smallet silhouette.

It was mentioned extensively how it was not possible to counter that, while Camo levels have a direct counter on the MSV one to three.

To which it was retorted how you could counter it because it only applies to FTF rolls whereas TO etc apply regardless.

    It's largely a pointless argument.

But not all factions can counter all camo levels. Those factions are forced to use other ways.. Or do something that any faction can do: shot outside SF range. It isn't like he could impose a -12 that some others cannot negate neither

Anyway, is their game and if that is want they meant it to be, that's ok with me. But still, there are other things that need to be addressed, but as they are not nomad, is not right to complain about them as with the kriza, right?

    Not for that cost.

Not to mention, you know that MSV do exist ^^
On top of this mod is affecting units who do not want to shot Kriza ^^ (hacking and melee is still a thing you know).

You know this is not direct discussion about gameplay power etc. but just a fact that CB seems surprised that someone thought that FA2 stacks with Surperisse Fire.

Something which was actually quite extensively discussen on their own forums (old one).

<those script kids are really getting anying nowadays>

Go back to being bitter in the PanO forums. You're embarassing yourself.

Yes, being slightly worse than a Hac Tao/Swiss Guard on active turn while being significantly worse than both on reactive turn, while being vulnerable to everything a non marker state HI can get screwed over by, as well as having an increased silhouettes while still remaining on the BS13 scale, which is rather mediocre for a supposed dedicated gun platform. That’s totally what I call textbook OP. I hope you never play against a sphinx or similar.
