I shall be chronicalling my latest Infinity table build here. A Xenoarcheolical Dig Site and surrounding base made with a variety of components and scratch built elements. Initial builds and layout: Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
After texturing the rock formations and getting some paint of them I set the table back up on the new mat I bought for the project. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
Thanks guys. Next up is 3d printed 'Shroom Forests. Counts as Nimbus Zone, Difficult Terrain and Hazardous due to the spores. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
Had a little play with surface mount LEDs and the Dig Site tonight. What do you think? Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
The dig site is nice but that unicorn battlemat is awesome. I want one ;) It reminds me of the D3 secret level. I can imagine adding some weird terrains (like the mushrooms you already have) and playing some crazy home ruled scenarios from time to time.
Thanks for the likes guys, my wife loves the fact you are commenting more on the Unicorns than on my stuff. The mushrooms are from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/DuncanShadow/design 3d printed by a friend. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
You rigged LEDs into the work lights on the table?!? Epic. Where'd you source the LEDs, and where are you hiding the batteries and switch(es)? And yes, the unicorn battlemat is also very cool.
The LEDs were sourced from ebay. I just searched pre-wired surface mounts. The batteries are hidden in the orange box at the bottom and there is no switch, just add or remove batteries for switching on and off. I did think about running wires to the generator box with a switch in there but in the end I couldn't be bothered. I will be adding wires to imitate the power coming from the generator but that'll be after painting. Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk
