Foriegn company thoughts on ITS use

    Played around with foriegn company a bit recently, like many of you Ive got some bits and pieces from aristiea and a chunk of other mercenaries, thought Id take them to an ITS, so I did.

    It seemed to me that foreign company has several rather useful properties to leverage in this season.
    Warcor availability of 2 is niche, but offers very cheap delay ARO potential and improved chances of scoring concilium watch.
    Character availability is great, veteran and character troops offer advantage in certain missions and unlike in the ikari company I played last season the Lt diversity offer some really interesting choices for missions like decapitation.
    So I played these 2 lists at cardiff, and though the decapitation list is without doubt poorly refined garbage (Im going to claim sleep deprivation and 0 practice games) I found myself winning transmission matrix comfortably and walking through highly classified without much trouble (scoring potential there is very high). Decapitation with the TO camo Lt; well its a nonsense mission but this was a sound strategy and several winning plays went bad on dice rolls.

    So the real good stuff:
    Valkyrie is effective as a single piece acting as data tracker and taking out DVTs with her total immunity, close combat prowess and most importantly: multi rifle! The croc man sniper in combination with the feuerbach securitate in full link only comes to 2.5 SWC leaving you a lot free for spending elsewhere on attack pieces. Kaplans in haris are outstanding with blitzens, high wip and useful specialist status in highly classified, sometimes performing double duty as ARO against the big stuff. Worth considering before daktari or clockmaker particularly in the classfied heavy missions.
    Drop troops in the akali and the cube jaeger are both very good options, I like emitters...

    Things that didnt really do so good would be the uberfall commando, Im finding unfamiliar opponents tend to go out of their way to blast them turn 1, I used them game 2 to rush up a flank and trade for a TR HMG bot, not really a game winning move for 9 orders and my entire 1st turn. My akali had an attack of low PH combat jump nerves and ended up fighting a posthuman sniper hand to hand (which coming from yu jing/ikari hes also surprisingly bad at), though he 'could' theoretically have isolated a marut Lt and murdered half my opponents backfield.
    Keen to find out if anyone else has a similar take on forco and if I should persist with the uberfall commando use?

    Something is up with the first army list. I’m only getting one combat group at just over 200 points. If you select the “export list to forums” option, it should work better.

    I’m interested in the idea of using Valkyrie as a solo warband. She can do a lot of damage with total immunity and her close combat suite. Her lack of smoke disturbs me though.

    Cheers that worked out alright.
    Valkyrie may not have smoke, and sure smoke is always better than not having smoke but in this instance the grenades are your equally inefficient means of getting to things without dying in the process and I think I prefer the multi rifle-grenades option and the blunt force approach, valkyrie isnt a ninja that just dies instantly if you make a mistake, its a profile born to take risks?
