As mentioned, they were a very non-PanO profile that was also overpaying for both Combi+LSG (based on new Aragoto) and Drop Bears (based on Yadu). They'd be much better-appreciated in YJ or Nomads, for example.

You know, I do have a Scooby-Doo van in my terrain collection already (bought it when I bought the Hasslefree Scooby Gang). An A-Team van wouldn't be out of place...

I like to think that we Nomads enjoy using other peoples' things more than they did in the first place.

The sheer JOY that tagjacking and using Scavenger inspires in me means that while I may play other factions occasionally, I am definitely a Nomad at heart.

Also, Bolts were awesome even before. I really enjoyed seeing what they could do in the hands of an NCA player who didn't listen to the internet (ie a lot of things the rest of the army couldn't do, plus being frustratingly hard to get rid of). Now I'm actually going to have to bring a minesweeper when I know NCA or Foreign company are on the menu, because there will be at least 4 dropbears hitting the table anytime that they choose to castle up at the end of their turn.

I’ve been mulling over Dashat quite a bit lately. Obviously I’m waiting for the book to really form my final opinion, but I think they occupy an interesting place between Ikari and Druze. Their midfield is nice with Hunzakut and Saito, but have some hard hitting tools like the Rui Shi and Al Fasid. They may be a good balanced force.

I was trying out to make army list for Dashat Company around Brawler and it's pretty close to DBS, only without any Druze:

    [IMG] Dashat
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]10 [IMG]0
[IMG] BRAWLER Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16)
[IMG] BRAWLER (Multispectral Visor L2) MULTI Sniper / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 28)
[IMG] BRAWLER Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Submachine Gun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17)
[IMG] BRAWLER Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 18)
[IMG] VALERYA GROMOZ Hacker (Hacking Device UPGRADE: Expel) Combi Rifle + Pitcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21)
[IMG] RAFIQ Rifle + Light Shotgun, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16)
[IMG] RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 20)
[IMG] SFORZA Viral Rifle + Adhesive Launcher, Nanopulser / Heavy Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0 | 30)
[IMG] SAITO TOGAN (Specialist Operative) Combi Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, EXP CCW, Knife. (0 | 40)
    [IMG] HULONG SHOCKTROOPER 2 SMGs, E/M Gewandes, D-Charges / Pistol, Monofilament CCW, Knife. (0 | 41)

    GROUP 2[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]1 [IMG]3
[IMG] HUNZAKUT (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 18)
[IMG] HUNZAKUT (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 18)
FANOUS REMOTE Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)
    [IMG] LIBERTO Submachine Gun, Chain-colt, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 8)

    6 SWC | 299 Points

Valerya, Sforca or the Rafiq need to have Wildcard to make it work, but besides that it's pretty intriguing and should work. The Army groups could change depending on the Wildcard rule, or not? Maybe change the Liberto to a good ol' Famous!?

I think this is going to be the base for a lot of lists, give or take a delivery Deadpool for more Dropbears or the medikit for a KHD.
This is assuming the "Special" in Kaplan lets them link with Bolts.

    Bolt - BSG+Dropbears
    Bolt - Combi+Lsg (medikit)
Hannibal - CoC St Deploy BSG+Nanopulser
    Kaplan Spitfire
    Deadpool Breaker

    Kriza HMG Lt.
    Uberfall Commando

As it is it clocks on 211pt and 3 SWC, still a lot of space for bad bad things

The Dahshat has dahshed any and all hopes of me getting into vanilla Haqq TBH, since now everyhting that's not the Hassassins in that faction is able to be found in Ikari and Dahshat for me ( Albeit the Ramah vid DOES show they have a lot of Heavy Infantry, so that's still on the fence. Still no interest in vanilla nor Qapu. ).

And honestly, same as with StarCo, Foreign Company just doesn't interest me all that much TBH. I dunno why, they just don't.

Guess that is a sign that the NA-2/Merc sectorials are not for you.
Considering your love for HI I would focus on Invincible Army first then perhaps afterwards if you wanted to expaned into another faction look into Hassassins or whatever tickles your fancy at that moment in time.

Well, to be fair, Ikari and Dahshat are still cool looking sectorials, and Ikari does have really goddamn solid HI... it varies from Merc to Merc, I suppose, for me.

Ikari does have the biggest HI presence in a NA-2 sectorial. The main problem with Ikari is that since CB took away the Druze Lt. option the sectorial only has a Keisuto & Brawler Lt. to choice from. Making hiding the Lt. next to impossible and allowing the opponent to easily know who the Lt. is & put you in Loss of Lt. That is a glaring major weakness of the sectorial.

Well, at least you can feasible put the Brawler into plenty of fireteams for protecting him.
The Wu Ming one seems like an interesting way of going about that.
Or you can accept you'll be playing with 5 SWC and take the Keisotsu, I suppose...

Agreed on those points. It's just that the obvious Lt. problem is one reason I decided against Ikari. I like some units & their models but I can use them in another fashion such as conversions instead of playing a sectorial that I don't care for in order to use them. Frankly only the Zenbutai interest me besides the Al Fasid model wise. Besides those I pass on the other models outside of the Morat. I do like Morat models that show their faces and hope we get a maskless female someday soon.

The Lt. options do really suck in Ikari but not insurmountable.

Nice to hear that it isn't a bane to your usage of the sectorial. It wouldn't be much of a sectorial if it was easy to focus down and kill the obvious Lt.

Yeah, that and link fragility are very overstated problems. Yes they are things to consider, but Ikari is a damn good army despite those weaknesses.

I've done my fair share of struggling against Ikari, mostly because of YY spam and Tanko-Brawler-Keisotsu defensive fireteams

Wow, Dahshat Libertos have Mimetism options for just a point more. That's pretty damn cool.
