So I've been running the minelayer in a somewhat melee-centric list built around maximising wound count. In the last few games he's killed: A rui shi, two yuan yuans, a desperado, and two keisotsu Two netrods, a lamedh, an arjuna spitfire and 2/3rds of Achilles A daktari, a morlock, a moderator, and an uberfalkommando Six aconticemento regulars including a sapper sniper and the lieutenant I think it's safe to say he's made a place for himself.
He's the order hog to match (most of those represent the expenditure of on entire combat group of orders, which is sucking air from some of my other attack pieces) and he hasn't yet survived one of those runs, but yeah. Results have exceeded even my original high hopes. :D
That's an impressive performance on the part of the liberto. I'll definitely be trying him out once my preorder comes in if he can get such a high kill count, especially for his points. Sounds like the ultimate pint-sized headache-inducing annoyance there is.

Adding 2 camo markers for 10 points is great cover for an Igao, especially if you go the distance of adding a Clipsos Minelayer to the mix as well. I am hoping to give him a good test run in the next few days.

Yea, or by buying one off someone who doesn't need it and got the book. Tho with it being such a good profile, I expect it to come out relatively soon. The last option is just to use one of the Helots from Varuna, whose box should be coming soon. I sold my Libertos and am planning to do exactly that.
Book models and Big Box models (ABH HI, CSU, Dismounted MAverick, Limtied YY) usually don't get models / get very different models. In any case very often the wait is very long.
Yea, we have a'plenty of Joan. TBH I can't see a world where CB doesn't make a general release Liberto, especially since it would be gobbled up by the market beause of how good it is.
At this point I'm actually thinking about converting a Spitfire Fraacta into one. She looks damn good, but I might end up needing to do a lot of extra cutting and sculpting.
This is EXACTLY what I'm going to do if they don't release the Taqeul soon. My only problem is that I like the Fractaa wings, a lot, so I'm not sure If I really want to cut them out or how much of them I want to keep.
