    My first observations:

    - Asura Spitfire LT2 + Shukra Consultant is a powerful combo, making a strong case for losing out on smoke. That's a 12-order powerful MSV3 piece that has chain of command and counter-intelligence as backup.

    - Dakini Fireteams are ridiculously strong, to the point that I think pure Yadu and Deva Cores are going to be a hard sell. That's fine because there are plenty of Haris and mixed fireteam options to keep them relevant.

    - Despite the AVA:2, I think the Marut will do better in vanilla. Smoke is less crucial for linkable Asuras than it is for the Marut.

    - Sforza pretending to be a Proxy Mk1 and implying a hidden Mk2 sounds like a fun mind game.

    - Superior infiltration Andromeda is veeeeery first-turn dependent. Sticking a mimetic SMG on your opponent's deployment edge is nice, but if you fail or go second, she's going to be a big paperweight.

    - AVA: 3 Garuda are dumb. Three boarding shotguns isn't that unreasonable.

Overall the sectorial feels very much focused on superior firepower. Even with a strong hackingand/or camo presence, it feels like almost every list is going to include a big gun on a strong platform.

Bringing some of the strong points together, this would be my initial list for testing, assuming NCO wasn't a mistake:

    Hey guys,

I tried to come up with a very strong allrounder list for tournament play.
My initial idea was to use the three most shiny things LT lvl2 with NCO, Posthumans and Dakini links.

This is what I ended up with:

[IMG] Operations Subsection of the S.S.S.
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]10
[IMG] SHAKTI Hacker (Killer Hacking Device. UPGRADE: Sucker Punch) Mk12, E/Marat / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 40)
[IMG] ASURA Lieutenant L2 Hacker (Hacking Device Plus UPGRADE: Redrum) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 78)
[IMG] YADU (Suboficial) Combi Rifle, E/Marat, HMG / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (2 | 41)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 21)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot MULTI Sniper Rifle / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 21)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (0 | 15)
[IMG] DEVA (Sensor) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24)
[IMG] CSU (Specialist Operative) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)
[IMG] PROXY Mk.1 Doctor (MediKit) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
[IMG] PROXY Mk.2 Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21)
    [IMG] PROXY Mk.5 (Forward Observer) 2 Submachine Guns, Nanopulser, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
    [IMG] YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
    [IMG] NETROD . (0 | 4)

    5.5 SWC | 300 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

The list has all three new toys, but three weaknesses: no chain of command, no repeater next to the Dakini link.

I see no easy fixes for this as downgrading Shakti to a Yadu Harris would only free 3 pts, which is not enough to upgrade the Netrod to an 8 pts. repeater bot. One could also drop the sensor on the Deva, but that seems to be a very high price to pay.

My only idea out of this is to completely drop the harris idea and instead try something like this:

[IMG] Operations Subsection of the S.S.S.
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]10
[IMG] ASURA Lieutenant L2 Hacker (Hacking Device Plus UPGRADE: Redrum) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 78)
[IMG] YADU (Suboficial) Combi Rifle, E/Marat, HMG / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (2 | 41)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 21)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot MULTI Sniper Rifle / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 21)
[IMG] DAKINI Tacbot Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (0 | 15)
[IMG] CSU Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11)
[IMG] DEVA (Sensor) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24)
[IMG] PROXY Mk.2 Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21)
    [IMG] PROXY Mk.5 (Forward Observer) 2 Submachine Guns, Nanopulser, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
    [IMG] PROXY Mk.1 Engineer Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
    [IMG] YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
    [IMG] YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3)
[IMG] SHUKRA (Chain of Command) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 25)
[IMG] DALETH Rebot Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 17)

    5.5 SWC | 300 Points

    Open in Infinity Army

We drop Shakti and therefore the harris, but gain Chain of Command, a repeater near the Dakinis and another Yudbot. This list can do all classifieds (aside from being good in melee, but that seems ok as a remaining weakness), has 7 specialists, good firepower, 12 orders and 2 MI to use deployment advantages.

How do you guys feel about the list anything you'd like to change? I think I'll give it a try tomorrow when playing Powerpack.

Except that you pretty much always want to bring posthumans anyway.

    But you could have a Mk1, a Mk5, and Sforza disguised as a Mk4 to hide a Mk2 sniper

Our lists look very similar. I like how flexible you can form a harris in that list.

What I don't like about your list is that if you want to engage an opponent at far distance in your first turn, the best idea is to do so with the Dakini MSR with MMS lvl2 active. Since the only hacker for boosts is in the same link, the rest of the link would declare an idle when the order on MMS is spend (or am I getting the rules wrong here?). As you can't go prone with the Dakini this would inhibit deployment on some roofs as the enemy would then get unopposed shots against the Dakini. The way out of that could be to drop the link, activate the hacker and then reform the link with a command token, but that seems wasteful. Additionally, I think it is a bit problematic that the Dakini link only has weapons for up to 16" once the MSR Dakini goes down. Not sure if the two HI (or pseudo HI) heavy weapon platforms can really make up for that.

Also it feels a bit off to not use posthumans. You could drop the Yadu FO in favor of a Posthuman Doctor or Engineer, a Posthuman FO and to upgrade the CSU to a Sensor Deva.

I got in my first game with them yesterday.
I used the fallowing list, won 4 to 0. I am still toying around with some other ideas.

I think it is very posible to run it sort of like the Shasvastii with a lot of solo operators and camo but the fire teams also look good.

Seeing two proxies on the board is a pretty big giveaway that there's a Mk2 hiding somewhere.

Oh, and once it's revealed you get a Dogged model with one of the most powerful weapons in the game who can be effective in Suppression Fire, can Dentonate mines and Perimeter weapons safely, and is just a pretty great profile even without Holo2.

Alternate strategy - take only 2 proxies. Save 50+ pts. Enemy still fears presence of HD Mk 2.

The hidden proxy trick is nothing new for me. I've done it with Pat in the past. My favorite was making him a Dakini cause no one suspects its a Spitfire with ODD and NWI... unless its Pat of course :P

Sforza I can have fun with as well. Hiding him away a Shukra or anyone that matches his MOV value and a weapon with less range and damage then his. Having a boarding shotgun, combi, or multi change into a viral rifle with an X-Visor is a nasty surprise. Then switch to Holo2 and terrorize even more.

I can already see the mileage I'll get out of Sforza and an excuse to use his awesome model.

Also just because you don't like a unit or can't them work doesn't mean others can't make them work or like them...

Dakini (or the Samekh) firing at BS 16 most of the time were very good at locking down fire lanes. The Asura was my Data Tracker and was able to sneak over to the Designated Target quickly. The Rudra did end up being destroyed, but killed 2 Marauders, Rosie, and a Warcor, and Wounded a Devil Dog.

Dart did well, killing the enemy Data Tracker (revealed Shotgun Foxtrot), and killed the Devil Dog, and scored a Lieutenant kill (Marauder).

I'm excited to test Arjuna, and Yadu Fireteams here soon.

First ITSX event next weekend - TO has banned the use of Samekh and Rudras in any of the Special Haris Fireteams because of they mess of rules and the lack of errata/definitive answers as to how the mechanics should work :(

Houseruling, nice. Seems like TO doesn't like OS.

If it helps people, here's the summary of OS links:

    Core C : 0-5 Yadu, 0-1 Rudra, 0-1 Samekh FTO, 0-1 Shakti

Fireteam Harris : 2-3 members, at least 1 with Fireteam: Harris. 0-1 active per army.
    Harris A: 1-3 Asura, 0-1 Samekh FTO
Harris B: 1-3 Deva without Devabot, 0-1 Samekh FTO
    Harris C: 0-3 Yadu, 0-1 Rudra, 0-1 Samekh FTO, 0-1 Shakti
Harris D (requires 3 members!): 1-2 Deva without Devabot, 1 Asura, 0-1 Samekh FTO
Harris E (requires 3 members!): 0-3 Yadu, 0-1 Rudra, 0-1 Samekh FTO, 0-1 Shakti, 1 Deva without Devabot OR 1 Asura
