Who has tested it since 3rdO? Both ORCs and FK duo teams seem pretty interesting for the potential of delivering a good specialist along an OK HI for order economy. I know those two troops arent really those which brings thrills but I start to consider them in my long journey in Vanilla in order spare orders in the specialist delivery. To be clearer, I'm considering at the moment : - FK Spitfire + FK FO/AHD - Patsy + ORC HMG/Feuerbach I was going to try Santiagos too but seems that 3rdO update took it away from Santiagos. I'll have a game in Sunday playing The Grid and I'm considering the FK duo to destroy those antennas by ganging them up with their DA CCW after designation. It's a shame though to not be able to assault them with the whole team because this would make this team hilariously effective, jumping from one antenna to another and destroying it in a one go.
Hm, this could be a lot of fun to test. I think Patsy/Feuerbach is the stronger of Orc options, giving you strength in multiple range bands. @Werekill : Yes, only available after having cast Team Pro. I had my game yesterday and the duo of FK (Spitfire + FO here) did a really good job, designating antennas (The Grid) and then crushing them with their DA CCW and FT bonuses in CC. The fact that the Spitfire can clean the way for the FO along their strong all around stats gave me the possibility to make my opponent waste a lot of orders to try to take care of them. Luck was a bit to my side this time but this wouldn't have worked like this with lighter troopers. I think this worth the price, provided you field troopers able to support them. @HellLois : is it intended that Patsy isn't considered as an ORC in Vanilla? Because she could definitely make ORCs more interesting if she could make a Duo in Vanilla with her unit fellows.
I believe this was discussed heavily and the conclusion was no, because Patsy does not count as an Orc for Fireteam composition in vanilla, only VIRD.
Then my Jotum list is invalid, woops lol. It's a shame too; the list would have been hilarious on the table. This is some GW-tier rules finagling, but after seeing the discussion, I sadly agree with the conclusion.
