With this change all the factions I play or have models for will finally have bikes and I will no longer suffer biker envy. Well, almost, as there's no Corregidor biker, but there is a Nomad one. Are motorcycles lootable BTW?
Oh look, they didn't screw people over by pulling another Montesa! Shame they couldn't have included a new dismounted sculpt instead of a useless to everyone but TAK Kazak Doctor though! Or a second Dozer sculpt, since we could use a new Akrylat sculpt more than the fairly good Mul Control Device.
Keeping the old foot 112 profile too sure feels like it invalidates the Kazak Doctors reason to exist, unless he's gonna get some changes too. (Really hoping they get some fireteam options or maybe a WIP bump. Or both.) Still fantastic news all around. @Koni : I don't know if you guys realize what a HUGE boost it will be for FRRM to have at last a smoke provider (other than Duroc) ! Just for the tactical possibilties it unlocks in this sectorial, it will be an almost auto include for me. (Just a smoke grenade launcher on metros and It would be perfect ;D )
The real question is, will it still be linkable? I think that the Kazak doctor should gain Wildcard trooper.
I think the 112 probably just became a must-take for me now, if I can spare the points. In regards to the dismounted model we already have, I would assume that, even if that profile disappears, then we can still use it for if/when we decide to actually jump off the bike. But it wouldn’t ruin my day either way. What I would like to see is the 112 lose the fireteam option in TAK and the Kazak Doktor pick up the fireteam option instead. This differentiates the two profiles in-sectorial and gives us a reason to field the Doktor.
I don't know about Wildcard trooper. Just because it exists doesn't necessarily mean it should be used for all situations. But Kazak Doc joining line Kazaks is logical. 112 joining Metros is logical. Thematically though, I'd probably say it doesn't make a ton of sense for the Rangers and the Scots to have embedded Doctors.
Well they should definitely sprinkle some of the new rules around the old sectorials. Unknown Ranger should gain Wildcard Trooper. Van Zant should gain either Wildcard or Special Fireteam Core. Van Zant and up to 4 Airborne Rangers. Blackjacks should have a Fireteam Haris profile. For Caledonia. Maybe give Mormaers Wildcard Trooper. Give Scots Guards: Special Fireteam Core: 2 Scots Guards and up to 3 Volunteers. Let the 112 join Volunteer and Scots Guard Fireteams.
