I'm just really happy CB decided to include Tohaa and if Jaan has CC abilities making him similar to standard impersonators I can already taste the tears of all the veggie haters.
A morat renegade, hm? Defiance is shaping up more and more like my own personal story. If they add an Umbra as a major villain, I'll start to think I'm being copied!
Staar is going to be interesting. The worst case scenario is that they just add CC stats to a baseline kiuutan, which probably blows their cost out prohibitively and makes them a bit nonviable. But if the profile has a few points discounts into it (e.g. no ranged weapon other than the viral pistol, or frenzy - which wouldn't really be that much of a downside given the restrictions of inferior impersonation) it could be a very sweet profile.
The plot twist would be Superior Impersonation, but I don't think that would happen. If we take the Kiutan profile with Submachine Gun, remove the E/mitter add CC 21/22 MA:2 with a DA CC weapon I think we will be around 32 points. It's like a Spiral/Tohaa version of Bran Do Castro.
Don't get so excited, folks. Maybe we'll never see an Infinity Profile for Jaan Staar. Or he'll only be a Spiral Corps character and non playable in Tohaa. I like the sculpt, by the way, although I would have preferred him with the hood (like the previous Kiuutan).

Taking a look at his hero card you can somehow read some of the text written. The one on the right refers to him being an "Atek", and that he cannot be the target or be part of hacking. The one in the left is way more difficult to read, but it is something about the "Frenzy" skill. Unless it is a piece of equipment, no Pheroware or Impresonation. Although maybe they are just using Cadin's card as a replacement because they haven't designed the character yet (Cadin has the exact same skills).
And no Symbiont Armor either. Well, lets hope that it's just a mock up with Cadin's texts instead of a real mere copy of Cadin's stats, which would be a shame.
Yeah, I am very excited about this. Especially if he is even just decent at CC, because it will offer 3 pretty unique impersonators. My personal hope is that he is carrying a DA CCW because he already has a Viral Pistol which he can use in CC if needed. Yeah, I am expecting this may be the case as well because the events of Defiance have not happened in the Infinity timeline yet, and Reinvent takes place years later, (so perhaps in the current timeline of N4). This could be pretty interesting, as much of the Infinity timeline has been advancing at a pretty slow pace, with Campaign and book timelines occurring within months of each other.
When I first saw the sculpt, I thought it was a Makaul character and was so damn hype! Hoping we get a Kiiutan thats a little more interesting and playable in vanilla. If we got a wannabe-Fiday it would be a serious shake up for vanilla. I like the Makaul-esk statline someone posted above, instead of MA3 and smoke shenanigans that the proper CC impersonators get. But if its just in Spiral then whatever it is I'm going to be legitimate butthurt about it.
Based on the blurry pic, he looks like Kiuutan statline with a CC bump (looks like 18-19), and Hyperdynamics 1 and something else with a short name (both lost when he loses Symbioarmor). His loadout appears to be LSG (!!!) and mines, and he's packing some kind of CCW (AP or DA, it's definitely not Viral) in addition to his Viral Pistol. This guy with an LSG forcing negative dodges with mines is insane, and he can also do an equally gross version of the symbiobomb mine mixup as the emauler kiuutan.
