Inb4 people start screaming that containment threads are oppression and how it is their sacred duty to shitpost about it everywhere, regardless of whether it's remotely welcome. Spoiler OK I paraphrased a little, but only a little. At least something like that happened when I tried it. But you never know, it might go better this time, so good luck.
Thread moved to off topic English, enjoy your discussion here, the rest of the forum can safely ignore it.
Generally speaking: STFU and stop presuming you speak for a majority. We just want to paint miniatures and if your fee fees gets hurt over some heels or what ever then, instead of morally grandstanding and presume to lecture a company on how they ought to be making models, stop buying said models and leave the rest of us alone.
Infinity has advanced enough cybernetics/genetics technology to allow for supermodel-proportioned men and women to exceed the level of fitness we associate with Olympic athletes if they're willing to pay for it. I find the differences in uniforms and weapon sizing (especially on Heavy Infantry) to be more unusual than the troopers themselves, given the setting features near-universal prosperity. Ariadnan units in particular probably ought to be a bit more muscular however, since far fewer of them would be able to afford Haqq or Nomad treatments.
Just to be clear, stay off personal attacks, that part will not change. Political discussion is not allowed in the forum..
Ah, yes. The "politics" of bashing Nazis. Those horrible politics. But the slurs and insults and people telling each other to STFU because their voice doesn't matter? Those can stay. You're an awful mod and should be ashamed of yourself.
This is a multinational forum about toy soldiers fighting in a sci fi future, the vast majority of people coming here, come to discuss about their favorite game and its fictional universe and not to be engaged in political discussions. The amount of reports I get each day about political discussion in the forum and when it will stop is a certain indicator of what the forum user base wants and I plan on keeping it this way. There are plenty of places in the internet to discuss politics and spar with other individuals about them, this forum is not it.
I want the loud politically correct minority stop pretending they represent the majority and attempt to dictate what people should or shouldn’t be able to talk about. Not sure why you don’t understand that.
I still don't like the weird wedge heel sculpting artifacts on my USARF female sculpts. On the Fraacta it's kind of ok, since their aesthetic is firmly detached from the realistic, but I still had to do some modeling work to create the "heel." Kind of lazy to leave those wedge-shaped chunks of metal on the bottom of the feet because you couldn't be bothered to change your sculpting pose.
Personally I do not mind the design choices, and while I will agree on the weapons scale argument, I respect the artistic choice of having individually coherent models than having the same scale weapons. The old sculpts that had the same scale weapons for everybody has their own set of issues.
And as a contrast, I think from the more recent models ones like Valkyrie, Hippolyta, and the SWF Fusi are good ones. Different body types, not over the top.
True, but I’d still prefer: Consistent weapon size Reduced dimorphism in height & bulk; particularly in HI models And, while I’m at it, closed visors on HI; no helmet is a stylistic choice for posing, open visor is just… wrong somehow. Open visor while hacking is inexplicable.
Awwww I like the open visors from the first sculpt that ever had them the first PanO fusilier "LT" model, thought I agree a model in a hacking pose should have the calyptra down.
