I think its the poses that ruin them the most. Such uninspired recycled "meh" The HRL is just poncing off.
Yadu box, eh... i wonder if thats a sign TAK will get something similar soon too, like Frontoviks. Much anticipation.
Can we please have model pic in higher resolutions? Recent photos have been terrible on that front, it's hard to see the details on such small photos and it's not giving you any credit as a maker of highly-detailed miniatures. Especially in an age when many people have high-def phones, let alone bigger screens.
Also I'm not praising you guys anymore, I said good things about the Khawarij box and look where it got us. Pyjama-Man and a Yadu box that'd look worse than clones of the starter model with weapon swaps.
I'm fully aware that it's not a gas mask ;) My point is why does he need a visor int he first place, especially one looking like a weird add on. The Yadu had this super high tech vibe, they don't even have any kind of visors in their regular helmets , so I'm not sure why hacker need one to do his magic? I find Yadu hacker's head design more into ariadna style than aleph. Personally I'd prefer something more like this:
Drop Bears have a koala smiley-face on them! That's the Daoying my lists really need! Still don't like the 'new' YJ shotgun, but I have two old Domaru to sacrifice to the conversions. Excellent idea! I just need to find an artist to do it, because I have no talents along that line.
Hmm ... not a great month: 1. Daoying - cool pose, at ease, no typical hacker pose - it´s my favorite this month (but like section 9 I´m not a fan of the new BSG design 2. Khawarjis - this is a good exampel of what is CB cabable of, nice box but unfortunatly not for me 3. Yadu - I expected so much more from this box. The starter-pack Yadu is cool, with the swing of the gun. The poses of this box are a bit meh. I understand, at some point you run out of poses, but theese here look a bit uninspired. Especialy the HMG, that you will use the most. The gun seems very small and unimpressive. The HRL is the best in the box, but the pose is 1:1 HRL Proxy MK4 (thats not only the same army, its the same sector!). Hacker guy is good, but why the heck, he need a visor on a visorless helmet? Combi guy is okay. 4. Echo - I like the look and the armor, but i dislike the wild parrot, not that it is not looking like a parrot at all, it is bulky on top. 5. Raul - Compared to the artwork he is dissapointing. Sadly. Cross fingers for the MR Version.
Damn, that Daoying alone makes me want to get Invincible Army! I absolutely love the armor design. Otherwise I agree with most opinions here: Khawarjis looks great, Yadu and Echo looks alright, Raoul looks meh. All in all, a pretty good month.
I forgot about the Khawarijs. Those are fantastic I think. @Modock thanks for the images. Big difference. Now I like the Yadu more.
Same, but I would rank yadu in the middle, they are not bad, just boring. Same static poses, missile weapon on one shoulder and "pistol" in another hand, generic hacker arm. At from high res picture multi rifle looks strange.
Not being a fan of painting guns at all, my only issue with the new BSG is that it's new and thus makes it more difficult to identify alongside the old version. The old version was a bit too similar to the Yu Jing rifles for any models where the magazine was even the slightest obscured, so this new version will be more distinct which I like. Pose, execution, everything makes Daoying the clear winner this month I feel with Echo-Bravo losing the sprint to the Daoying due to tripping on the tactical rock. There's a time and place for tactical rocks, but I think EB's pose is strong enough not to need it.
2 things: - they could have put that Dao Ying in the IA starter as it is the main profile to play and can be used as a proxy for other profiles, but they'd rather force players to buy an extra blister.... - did Giraldez paint any of these releases? Honestly the paint job seems poor, and I doubt it's Giraldez's
