Unlike say, the F1-11, called the "aardvark" because it spends most of its time with its snout grazing the ground (TFR means it does nap-of-earth pretty damn well). Sure, it has alternate versions and different nicknames for those, but our guys called theirs "the pig".
I know, right? Eeyup! Yeah, the FastPanda looks panda-ish, the Drop Bear even has a Koala face on it. CrazyKoalas look rather koala-ish, and MadCows, I mean MadTraps... Ahem: Hairdryers don't sound like BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!! It also has a really long nose, like the aardvark.
Not really, medikit should not be the ONLY doc/paramedic equipment, they carry medical bags the least. How about defibrillator? Also, it seems there are no holsters for medikits that everyone has to hold them in their hands,
For a doctor absolutely. For a Paramedic? They have a defibrillator, it's a function of the medikit. They have wound sealant (also the medikit) they have a cauteriser (medikit), that little pistol can work miracles, when it works.
Back when I started playing we didn't need separate mini or pose for paramedic... So why do doctors need something else when the magic pistol can fix anything? I can understand cauteriser and sealant working as one, but defibrillator? O_o
That echo bravo is strange, but I think I like it lol...the more I look at it the more It grows on me. I may add the hip pack from the locust I cannibalized for my ZC hacker as some sort of drop pack under his chest rig and paint it up as a med bag but that being said I think it will look really nice next too the rest of the Varuna troops
I'm happy that the Echo Bravo isn't an asset flip of other pano troops, finally some new armor designs! Wild parrot is a clever design, similar idea to the TAG remote drone which I respect, but the name lead us to expect something along the lines of other animal named/looking equipment, so that makes me a bit disappointed. This at least justifies me calling it a "Sad Parrot"
Fair enough, was just the first that jumped to my mind. Military convention is filled with examples however, regardless how how metaphoric at times. From F/A 18 Hornet to F 16 Falcon and Sr 71 Blackbird etc etc. Regardless I fully understand why some might be disappointed in its design, seeing as how CB has been rather literal up until this point with their perimeter weapons. Was merely stating I'm quite happy and seeing as how PanO in their design queues and execution might be seen as the more "serious" / regimented (to some meaning boring) of the armies, it kinda fits. This is all of course just personal opinion and I don't want to dimisj anyone's feelings towards it. Just quite happy with it myself and feel like there might be an over abundance of negativity on these threads at times. And kudos to Section9 for the pic, but a drawn on face does not make that sexy beast into a warthog
I feel like the Parrot is very PanO in aesthetic. It’s no nonsense, function over form, and contrasts starkly to the cutesy Pandas, Koalas and Madtraps that look like they were designed by an artist for looks first and function second. The parrot is obviously a piece of military hardware that got a nickname. And that’s why I love it.
Don't need a hair dryer when you buzz it, and even when I had longer hair I still never bothered with a hair dryer. And if your hair dryer sounds like a 30mm gatling cannon, you need to replace it before it catches on fire!
My hardware works on spite, disregard for safety norms, and sheer will to function. Hell, my laptop fan sounds like a sink garbage grinder being fed gravel.
So that's how you get that mangy dog hairdo. I like the parrot; I was about to write it would be uncharacteristic for PanO to make their equipment look like cutesy animals, but then I remembered the Crabbot. The backpack thing is really neat though.
It's uncharacteristic for Pan-O's military to not make it a cutesy animal considering the CrazyKoalas and MadTraps look like they do because they are recruitment tools.
