[EN] "stay logged in" button

Something's up. Today I started getting booted after only a couple hours.

Previously, it would never log me out, unless I accessed from a different computer after a long (~day) absence.

 

Yep, it's back here. I assume the forums are being intentionally destabilised to put the brakes on the Yu Jing outrage that is currently drowning out the JSA hype.

 

The last couple of days it seems like the session expiration has been set to 1 hour or something ludicrously small like that. It used to be more than a day which basically silenced this thread, but now it's back to annoy-a-tron level.
I wish they just set up "Stay logged in", i do believe the forum software does have that possibility

 

It's really annoying, yes.

 

It seems forum got config changes... and this one went back to default setting.

In any case, it also seems some users were not covered by the day long time out, pointing to the real problem being something deeper.

 

I think I'm getting kicked out in under an hour now.

 

So far I've been on for over an hour, but I did get kicked off between 8am and whenever it was I came back on, ~6pm ish?

Having issues with being kicked out on my laptop for a change now. Just logged into a game for a bit and came back logged out within 3 hours which is new for me.

 

Its annoying on computers but somehow it's even more annoying on a phone even though it's virtually the same problem. I don't understand how this hasn't been fixed yet either. It's like a default feature in every forum is it not?

 

I was just about to ask about that, I was assuming that it was something with adblock, privacy badger, and/or noscript.

 

It'd be great if I could browse the forum several times a day without having to log in each time, thanks.

 

Before it would keep me logged in on my laptop for as long as the laptop was on and it was my Ipad that was the issue, but now I have to log in a few times a day on my laptop too.

I'm a member on another forum that seems to be built from the same software (or whatever you'd call it, architecture?) that I've been logged in for weeks on now, so surely it's not a difficult fix.

 

Still having the login issue. I'm guessing I have about an hour of idle on my computer before it kicks me out.

 

Same here. It's been really frustrating and has kept me away from posting as often as I was before.

Booted me out after less than 2 hours today... at least it wasn't while I was in the middle of a reply to someone!

 

I've had to login at least once an hour while browsing the forums throughout the day in the background. I would love to not have to login so often, if that were possible.
