It's funny that these kappa seems to universly get blue hair and the team Sirius is a blonde. And I plan to do the same with mine.
I actually got those very same old GW leave bits in a lot not to long ago. Surprised to see that someone else has them too. And your Scots are coming along nicely so far.
Some progress but still some work to do. Once the skin is done it will be almost done Also: I hate high heels. It's a pain to pin.
Thanks; its my first painting with Citadel Contrast Colors and I see; I will have to improve it again. There are some wrong paint points I don't like. But good; the colors match. For the image of a sector, I think there is a need for a uniform color scheme. We are not Caledonian or anything; we are Kosmoflot. Something like that. ^^
I was wondering if you were using contrast paint here. My feeling with those is that they are not a revolution, but if properly used, a new tool in the box. Edit : I initially missed to type the not. Sorry if it misleaded anyone
More a photo test as I'm trying to compare what's best (camera or phone) than a WIP but only small details remaining. Not sure if I should use an extra color like red or stick with purple for small breast dots and hair "clips".
tip. With high heals or any foot really, cut the tab down to a small pin size and then drill a hole in your base. Much easier than metal pin
I like the purple. It seems redder than on your Hsien that you've shown me before. I'm curious about the minis in the background. Is that Madter Splinter and Professor X?
Good catch, there's two reason for the difference: - new painting technic* as after some encouraging results on the background minis I wanted to see how it goes with Infinity minis. Especially as I find it an easy way to work black. So this was the model to test it on - as a consequence instead of some mixing I only use pure VGC 72014 Warlord Purple Regarding the minis, they're Mantic's Dreadball coaches and cheerleaders. So they are indeed inspired by comics icons. But you missed the more interesting minis in the background ^^ * followed Dana Howl's underpainting way (or at least my own implementation of it)
Can't see their heads as they seem to be bigger scale. However, that guy in white t-shirt with two pistols looks strangely familiar and is bugging the hell out of me.
I was finally able to pick up a brush again and do some work. And some work i did: Wildfire Kappas are finished The Omega as well. Might try to do the emblem on the left shoulder... but i dont want to ruin it... That was my pledge for this month wasn´t it? additionally i finished the Beta and the sirius lady: Something i learned along the way: Batch paniting might be oeconomic because you work the same colour on different models but for me it´s very unsatisfying, because the individual mini takes longer... Next in line are the Sirius Bot, Hippolyta and the Gangbuster, I will not touch Cuervo until i can swap his head with a delta.
@Fed4ykin I really like the purple, black, white & gold color combo. It stands out and looks good on the O-12 figures. Besides the remaining models you mentioned above are there anymore of this force that you have left to finish?
The models from Defiance whenever they will arrive. As a matter of fact, I am painting the pretty boys just to have them painted. And I had the inspiration for the coloursheme and thought that they will look neat in purple an white. I am not sure if I want to play o12. I like the shasvastii more and already have a painted JSA army and yu jing waiting to be painted. With some additional mercenaries I will be able to play ikari and druze too... I think that's enough for the time being. Maybe I will give the O12 to a friend of mine who isn't that much into painting.
@Fed4ykin I would at least try out O-12 before passing them on. Still it is your choice in the matter. Perhaps you are right and giving it to your friend is the better option.
