My opponent had to pull out because he was sick I've got a two day tournament this weekend so I'll let you all know how I go. I'm trying to figure out a scarface list too as I think he's just great :-D

Thank you very much for this Sorniak! And I apolgoise for doubting you! That is something I both love and hate about this game, there is always something new to learn! :-)

Feel free to completely disregard, but I thought I'd toss my two cents in for you. I'm not a huge fan of the HMG, (as others who frequent these threads likely know), and I prefer the Brawler AHD over the Druze AHD as well. You could simply swap them for each other and toss in another Fugazi if you want to keep things simple.

A little bit more interesting, I've ran duo LGLs a couple of times now and I'm having an absolute blast with it. They can shut down armor and act as a massive threat, even if they don't actually land anything. I also much prefer the Multi Sniper, see below:

FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)
WARCOR (Sixth Sense L1) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3)

EDIT: That was a real quick and dirty adjustment without bothering order pools. I would personally toss the Pathfinder into group one.

Interesting list OldGregg! I've always been curious about the Druze sniper, anytime I think about bringing it I always end up swapping it out for the HMG to save a few points for a Warcor or a Nasmat, but I might give this exact list a go sometime soon!

I think the sniper is the stronger of both pieces and often pair it with the MSV Brawler for a real fun time.

That sounds quite interesting, could you describe this path a little bit more? I don't see the need for a second LGL, because they add no benefit to each other in the Duo, you don't gain any flexibility in deployment and placement and the odds of landing the grenade speculative are the same. Do you play them aggressively and go into FtFs? For staying behind cover that seems to expensive.
Just to have the idea checked from my defensive experience with this guy.

I might have mislead a bit here ... I don't run a Druze Duo with each member being an LGL. I nearly always have one LGL in the core team. I've found recently that the unit become quite the target and can often jeopardize the rest of their fire team simply by being alive. (Their own threat bubble is nothing to ignore for a savvy opponent). To spice things up a bit, and make decision making more difficult for my opponent, I've added second LGL to some of my lists. The second guy hangs around in hard to reach places where he can be a potential threat and easily slide into fireteam vacancies. He can also hang around in a nearby duo or haris, (with say, valeria or another druze) and, if the opportunity presents itself, you can slam him up the board to threaten pieces your opponent thinks safe while risking much less than a whole core team.

For killy missions i love to take the Anaconda. I know, i know... My go-to is a Core link with HMG, LGL, Marksman, Valerya and Clipper. i take as many ABH's, Bashi Bazouks, flash pule bots, Peacemakers and TR bots as i can.
The holo shenanigans with the bashi to create multiple LT options is invaluable against 1st turn assassination runs. My Bashis either do nothing or punch far above their weight.
At the very least, Bounty Hunters provide regular orders. At best, they have won me games. Same thing with the Peacemaker. It either dies 1st turn without doing anything or it puts that heavy shotgun to good work.

I've noticed a lot of players seem to forget the Anaconda can pop smoke when it dies ... This makes for a lot of fun when you ram it up the middle over an objective. I've seen more and more DBS players running one lately too, which always puts a smile on my face. I wish we got the ability for some more options on the Anaconda or it's pilot, and I can't wait to maybe one day see a generic Ramhorn TAG along the same lines.

Seeing that you've had some experience with the Anaconda what changes would you like to see it it oldGregg? Specialist on the operator? Or have the operator keep tactical awareness after it leaves the TAG?

Personally I'd like to see it get 6-4 MOV like most other S7 TAGs, and 3 STR which would bring it up to similar durability of every other TAG.

Since it's lighter, it should be faster!

Yeah exactly. It’s speed is noticeably worse than other tags while also being more vulnerable. I’m fine with the vulnerability, but balancing with speed and maybe a special skill would be nice. If they do t go that route, something like MA3 or mimetism would be cool.

OK, sorry for being slow to respond. I went to the two day tournament and it was tough!

Game one I played a guy who ended up playing top table in the last game. He took Spiral Corps and was super tricky to pick apart. The list I used was the one on the previous page. The mission was transmission matrix. I kept him honest for the first turn and a half before his symbiobombs started to pick me apart. I also had some atrocious luck (it's a theme with me) and even though my hunzakut got a surprise shot on his shock marksman helot, I still rolled like trash and died to ARO fire :'( All in all a rough game but some good signs. My opponent was very complimentary in how I deployed and player but it didn't go so well.

Second game was against an Avatar centred combined list in Acquisition. I took the same list again. As before, I didn't roll great and because I haven't played hackers too often, ended up exposing my force by dropping a repeater too close to too many of his minis! All in all another brutal game where I didn't kill a single model and he reduced me to 3 models. I got smacked about hard!

Third game was unmasking vs PanO. I played the same list again and really got my shit together this time. I basically left most minis hidden but set up my stuff very conservatively as most of the objectives could be easily snagged. I managed to use the HMG to great effect and picked his force apart in my turns, whilst using the Hunzakuts and Peacemaker in ARO. The TR bot was strategically positioned to cover super long ranges but he kept cautious moving to stay away. It ended up coming to the last couple of rolls of the game, but I pulled off a major victory by unmasking and eliminating all his decoys and target in the final turn.

Day Two I played two games that were more killy focused. I took the following list:

    BCB Pew Pew

Game four was... frustrating. We played Quadrant Control and he took PanO. I took my scarface list My opponent and I didn't clarify some things well early on and it turned into a bit of a slog to get anything done. Couple that with a total inability to roll dice and a little bit of luck on his part... well it didn't go well! Ended up keeping him to a minor victory but I learnt a lot which was the most important thing. I also learnt the LGL Hunzakut is not great. The light shotgun has way more use IMO, as well as forward observer and no SWC cost.

Game 5 was a straight up annihilation vs Tunguska with a big old Szally. I took the scarface list again and I got to go first this time. In the first turn I took out his ARO pieces quickly with the MSV2 Brawler Sniper in the link team and then played the FO perfectly. I pushed up, laid a mine then laid a repeater in range and pushed the Hunzakut up to a doorway where he could see the back of the szally for some cheeky ARO shotguns. I then got very lucky and spotlighted the Szally on the first go, and then dropped 4 missiles on top of him and part of a link team standing nearby. I managed to only inflict one wound on the szally and one on a member of the link team! He was invincible. On his turn one, he moved the szally to flame my hunza and proceeded to take a shotgun shell as I was +6 at that range. The poor Szally rolled a 3, on a 6+ save! The hunza was cackling manically as he burnt to a crisp. So the Szalamandra had 1 structure left. He proceeded to try and tank the anti-personnel mine and rolled a 4 for his armour... The nomads were also lacking an engineer. Suffice to say the game kept getting worse for the poor nomads, and I proceeded to slaughter them so badly that they started turn 2 with 3 models on the board.

I ended up getting 21st place out of 40 people which I think is respectable considering the first tournament I took the Druze to, I placed 55th out of 60 on 2 tournament points and 0 victory points. Yes, I had 2 tournament points but no objectives thanks to having a bye. It was atrocious! So I've definitely learnt a lot but need to keep learning as there's so much more I can do better :)
