Overall, they look sweet! I've noticed there's no Doc and no troops classified as Veteran, Elite, or Headquarters. No bueno for HVT: Kidnapping or Hunting Party. Also, Saito gets a Spec Op profile and Scarface picked up an HRL.
So, it looks like all I have to do is pick up a box of Druze and I have over 80% of this army already! The only things I don't have are the Anaconda (not likely to use) and the Haqq options. I could definitely see using a Hunzakut. I'm up the air about Bashi Bozouks,

Could kick the nasmats and make a haris for brawlers, though (HRL) and add some more cheerleaders, but...
Eh, order spam just isn't my thing. I'm usually a single combat group guy. I'll toy with 14 orders or so on rare occasions. How do you feel about Bashi Bozouks in this army? They're irregular, mediocre BS, and no great weapon loadouts. Holo2 IS sweet though. I could see the Boarding Shotgun get some use. But with AD:L1, you gotta really be careful about picking the right side.
Group 1: Guided missile spam... at CD 12 + 3 + 6... 21? XD Five orders for that, then move the fireteam and/or the Specops (which would be a Medic if no Specops allowed). Group 2: marking targets duty, objective grabbing duty , and parachuting duty... I don't feel really bad about the Bashi Bazouk, I'm used to them as killy only, so... That being said, I tend to go with the SMG option for the AP/Shock ammo (and SF, and HoloN2 so you don't know if he's carrying E/M weapons...). Having them as specialists is interesting. I feel really bad about those WP12 medic/engineers, though XD
I assume you point to that line there. However, no other troop in the game (not even Haiduks) has Intelligent Missile Launcher and links, and the list is limited. An official post will be welcome, and I doubt this can be really discussed, since the bugs in the Army point to a rushed out implementation.
When using the Guided Trait, the weapon's B is always 1, ignoring all possible bonuses and Modifiers.
I hate coffe. But I would like it if people read the rules. Its not hard. It really isn't. Its not even about memorising, just read them before asking about them or talking about them.
You're absolutely correct. I am very sorry. ;) I assumed you guys were all going on about the BS mod rules and skimmed the rest, missing the bullet point. He's right though, it's a totally new option. I don't think there's anything wrong with EXCITEDLY going over the possibilities and brain storming cool stuff without having to dig in to the rules overmuch. It's just FUN. Getting shot down by a rules quote is all part of it. ;)
Guided does not allow it. Normal fire, even using guided, would go at CD15 B2, without doubt. And you can add Supportware to ignore Cover and make the ammo shock as well (so no -3 to roll and no +3 to ARM mwahahahaha).
Yeah, I've been taking advantage of this with the Unidrons for a while. My favorite is the Plasma Sniper! ;) It's cool to see someone else (another army I'm planning on playing) get the fun stuff too.
There is a difference, though... The Guided Missile launcher ir 1 point more expensive and changes EXP for DA, but has NO negative range! So you either roll at B2 CD12 (no Assisted Fire, enemy in cover), B2 CD15 (enemy not in cover, and worst cases of distance) or B2 CD18 (best case of distance!)
Then you just sync your HVT before you move in to LoF. ;P It really is a unique setup though, allowing the Missile Bot in a link. I hope we see more fun stuff like this in the future.
