BTS, they just don't suffer the effect of the Breaker weapon's AP Ammunition. TI affects Ammunition type not saving roll.
To add further to @Hecaton 's discussion, any weapon that forces the opponent to use their BTS for the saving roll, can still wound the Dog-Warrior or Bearpode. For example, an E/M mine, the opponent saves against his BTS. The E/M mine is DAM 13. This means the E/M ammo does not affect the Bearpode, but still causes a wound if the Bearpode fails his save, correct? Because the E/M is now considered Normal, at DAM 13 against BTS? Edit: same for the Blitzen?
No, since the E/M is non-lethal. Even though the Ammo becomes Normal, doesn't mean it will cause a wound if it wouldn't have otherwise. It just changes all Ammo to Normal and it goes against BTS or ARM. The TI figure is not effected by any states the weapon does. Like Flash Pulse and E/M is useless against TI. However, you can still use it as an attack to force a face to face roll. For example, McMurough is out of range for Chainrifile, so decides to throw a grenade, Flash Pulse can be used against that to make it a face to face roll. It does nothing to MM but you might roll better.
No because it's non lethal. guts rolls happen by surviving a wound on an ARM roll. I don't think they even make the BTS roll because they are unaffected by it.
Thanks @Space Ranger . So the best way to bring down a trooper with TI is just weight of fire via large burst weapons?
Yes, especially those with high raw damage or the ability to target the TI unit's worse save stat. I used to have a lot of trouble with Dog Warriors myself and sought advice, a TAG in Suppressive Fire is one of the best ways to actually stop a Bear or the like according to some experienced Ariadna players.
I just had to deal with Chimera on the weekend. A lot of the TI things have 0 BTS. I had a Jujak with Breaker combi and it did a lot great work with it. Nanopulsars/Pulsars are good if you can get them to not dodge. Just. weight of numbers is good too.
