Hey guys, Question regarding disengage; When prysm and gata are in b2b and prysm wants to disengage she rolls her agility. This agility role has a build in shield. Is the purpose of this shield only to taunt? She still needs to roll hits to disengage right? cheers.
I think of Tao Wu and Prysm each spending 2 action points to spend on a Move action but not necessarily intending to move at all. Remember that if you do gain an unblocked during a disengage roll you must move at least one space. So Tao Wu who is adjacent to an enemy character can spend 2 action points, use his agility of , add no extra dice so guaranteeing that he fails the disengage roll but spending the to activate his general switch to force his opponent to discard a Tactic. If his opponent character did not displace itself in the disengage roll, Tao Wu can rinse and repeat. Not a bad activation in the right circumstances. Prysm's thing is the Taunt. As the is a sure thing and only lacks at least one one-sixth of the time, she triggers her general switch of to Taunt a character within range 1-3, 83% of the time. However in her case there is one-third chance she gets . It may get blocked by her opponent's . If she is forced to move, her attack Gamma Radiation has range1-2 so she could use the three remaining Action points to attack on her way out, use the remaining movement points to get into good position and stay within 1-5 of taunted characters. Interesting examples of using disengage for switches when your goal is not necessarily to get far away.
