0.5 SWC reduction is still a reduction in cost, not sure if people would pay full 1 SWC in reinforcements (were you get only to spend 2) to get NCO.
from my initial list building adventures, I'd say - 100%. NCO is such a useful skill to have in the context of reinforcements (esp when you have access to a good lt+2) that I'd gladly pay SWC for it. Tbh, you usually will only bring one SWC gun due to cost and overlapping roles - bringing spitfire sakiel and ap marksman draal seems rather counterproductive, as their roles overlap a lot in this case. And since Tohaa reinf pool won't suffer from lacking swc (almost all of swc units are expensive and overlap), paying 1 swc for a Draal with NCO would be absolutely acceptable (and would finally make them worth taking)
Yes, but the 0.5 SWC reduction the Draal got was from losing Minelayer, Draal doesnt' have the NCO skill. And as Sharrancar pointed out, the Draal also lost FD and linkability options without a corresponding cost reduction.
Yes, we already know that. What we don't know is why some units got a point reduction when losing the FD skills (like the Draal) and other didn't.
And Sakiel from 5 to 3, Rasail from 4 to 2. Apparently someone at CB saw Robert Shepherd's most recent video, and the only thing they took out of it was that 3 Rasail teams deploying in the midfield were the only thing wrong with reinforcements, so they quickly changed that and only that.
No, because if the units had the rule they could theoretically forward deploy or infiltrate from their deployment zone (the ZoC of the Drop pod marker), and the cost of having those abilities is factored in their cost. The reinforcements deployment balancing is coming from different set of restrictions.
No, you said that units with FD are still deploying forwards when they come in as reinforcements, so they don't need their cost reduced. That means that all reinforcements that didn't have some kind of FD needs to pay to be a reinforcement.
No, that would be misinterpreting what I said. They are effectively been deployed forward, but if they did have the skill it would interact with the reinforcements deployment rules and add additional deployment options, hence the skill and associated points are removed.
understandable, but points and SWC are interchangeable when changed, I am guessing the 0.5 SWC has impacted how many points got reduced.
So Casanova not only got NCO (effectively getting cheaper), but also is cheaper because he never costed SWC? So Draal atm is paying X points and 0.5 swc for an unkown reason - surely something's off here I understand different decisions across various factions, but consistency is key when you're using a points formula - for the sake of being fair to your customers, a review of the costs of various reinf units (not only Draals, but units from other factions as well) would be a very warmly welcomed idea
Welp that's it for me with infinity. Year of the tohaa was a massive bum for me and CB reaction was an ***hole move. Somehow I got back and played. Then the 'rona hit and our group fell apart. N4 hit and I was completely shocked seeing that infinity was just a shoot show now. Played 5 games and shelved my infinity stuff. After here and there watching the forum and CB just ignoring my army (where I spent probably 1500 € or more) and also laughing me for being salty I can say: "FUCK YOU CORVUS BELLI".
