Maybe. If it's just scrapping by with nothing else. PanO likes to give its direfoes upgraded armor though. 2 arm 3 bts LI. I dont know if I would bother with it outside the "neat" factor though. I hope it's not just that simple

Just as a baseline – him being a fusilier doesn't get me very excited. so many things can link with them a this point I have to ask myself "whats the point".

Hey, I was kind of right. LETS GO!
anyway – he's not that bad. Might have a tough time taking him in Fusi links but we'll see

BS13, MSV1, FO, and an SMMR.

MMR is one of my favourite 0 SWC weapons, he's a good shot and ignores some enemy modifiers. Definitely a good Fireteam pointman, not much in the way of defense though.

Counts as a Fusilier for Fireteams. In Varuna he's competing against the almighty Kamau, but he definitely has legs in NCA.

He's very good, a good pointman indeed. But again, he's boring. I'd really like to get a PanO character doing something else than long range shooting (and doing it well, Konstantinos! :P)

Getting a non-Hi character with a +3 range longer than 16" is actually a novelty for us, I'm just glad he doesn't be a combi rifle of some form.

Characters like that make me wish for Fusilier and other line LI Haris teams (hell, it's my wet dream for Konstantinos - give him LSG+Chain Colt instead of Combi, and OS Haris). He's definitely well suited to lead such a team forward, especially in NCA.

They're definitely in the web based Army Mobile, if you go into NCA/VIRD then he has his Fireteam notes included.

Definitely more use in NCA, he has some fair competition with the black friar though.

He’s basically what Konstantinos should have been. With a guy like this OS links would have more of a reason for existing even before mixed links extravaganza.
Guys that run aggressive Fusi link will be excited I guess.

*Sigh* it's okay and all, what did we expect? BS13 and that's pretty much all we could ever ask for.
No idea where where you'd use him though.
MSV1 makes it just another gunner probably a bit worse than a Mimetic one (not that we needed another MSV anyway).
I'm just gonna say it - MSV1 on it's own is one the worst gunnery upgrade there is.
Mimetism/Camo is better in a FTF 90% of the time.
MSV2 is much better thanks to the ability to counter the ever present Smoke.
FAT2, FA1 and FA2 and MMSL2 are all massive improvements for self explanatory reasons.
23 points is expensive compared to the pricetag of a Kamau HMG/HRL or Black Friar as linkable gunners.
That's not really what kills him for me. But he has nothing else. Period. He links most of the time so being a Specialist isn't that much value. Zero utility outside of a gun and FO is just sad.

0SWC is the saving grace, sometimes, maybe... in NCA. Can't see myself taking this guy just for the Specialist label over something else.
Marksmanrifles are way too expensive for what they add right now (relative to a Spitfire or Multi Rifle), especially if you burden the guy with ARM2, BTS3. Paying relatively more points for an inferior weapon to save SWC is flat out suboptimal compared to just investing SWC in guns to begin with. Especially because you're going to dump 4+ SWC into better guns no matter what in both VIRD and NCA anyway.
WIP 13 is nice for Specialist duty and Flashpulse but unfortunately there's no synergy with the latter's rangebands to improve the guy a bit.

Better than the other 2, still fairly unusable. Maybe N4 improves Marksmanrifles or something.

I really like him. He is good on is own, I don't think he really needs any FT support. I kind of find him good at doing the work you could leave to a Deva Spitfire. He costs less, can achieve some objectives and fights really well on its own. As a lot of you guys like to play 16-18 orders, I think he will be good in group 2 as a objective grabber who can make some fight. A good addition in Vanilla too.
And I don't really see him as a competitor to the Kamau Sniper. More like a sidekick. VIRD really needed some more MSV.
