I'm a little bit confused by the whole "CB has spat on the YJ community" feeling. Have people forgotten the barrage of updated sculpts YJ received over the past few years, as well as the multiple additions of units for things like ISS?
https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/may-i-start-this-speculation.3283/page-16#post-52940 Watch the video in that link and you should have a better idea. Also, you have to be careful to distinguish profiles from sculpts.
So we got great new sculpts, and to pay for that we have less profiles than anyone but Tohaa. Why aren't the other factions paying for their things then?
You'll be getting that extra content with future releases, don't forget the stuff you have gained previously (like the ISS buffs).
We are getting pretty much the same amount of content as everyone else. And ISS arguably needed those buffs so that it was playable as something other than "Su Jian Delivery Team".
There are no goals to score, nor posts to move. You asked why is people unhappy, I told you why. You may not see it, happy you.
Sure, like regular orders for 1pt and other stuff leading for ISS to become precedent of faction ban on some big event.
ISS is one of the most versatile and powerful factions. limiting it to "Su Jian delivery platform" and demanding buffs is either dumb or trolling. So ok, I fell on your trolling)))
Never heard of factions being banned, sounds more like that local meta has a problem handling the stuff in the faction than the faction being too strong. I think he's talking about the *2* points increase for Bounty Hunters (an addition I personally consider to be nothing more than bloat and could be removed at any time with not even a tiny impact on the faction - it's the Miranda-restriction that makes it bad)
Flips said ISS got a whole bunch of buffs. I'm assuming he is talking about the ones we got N3 onwards, which were parting from N2 terrible shit faction. I'm not demanding buffs, I'm saying the ones we got were justified.
Oh, I guess I misinterpreted tenses here. It sounded exact like ISS deserved any future buffs to be more than Su Jian escort, and now it`s only escort. With transition and changes N2 -> N3 I agree 100%.
While I'm not particularly irked over vanilla YJ losing 15/59 profiles (damn, it hurts when I write it that way), I am agreeing that it would have been much better handled to have the Invincible Army queued up ready to release when the Secession happened. But what the fuck do I know, I've only been doing customer service stuff since 2000. This. Where is vanilla YJ going from here? I don't need to have the Invincible Army right now. I would really have liked a statement from CB that, "yes, it's going to be a rough year for vanilla Yu Jing, mostly because of the release schedule. We just can't make product fast enough to release more than what we do now. But wait till you see what you're getting this time next year, the pain will be worth it." And then tease an IA trooper dossier. If the acting skills are really up to it, go for the 'oops, what the hell is that doing in this presentation?!?' and try to frantically exit out. Yes, this was very poorly handled. I'd assume that those Closed Battle Lists are done or close to it already (knowing what happens when you Ass-u-me something), so releasing them sooner than later would be a really good idea, @Bostria , @Interruptor That would probably have been ideal. This would probably have been a good time (before whatever the book after Paradiso is getting called), assuming that IA is getting put into ParadisoN3. Or at the very least said, "It's going to be a rough year for vanilla YJ, because it will take that long to get all the stuff from the Uprising book released. But wait till you see what is getting released this time next year, it will make all the pain worth it." And then showed a troop dossier from IA. So am I. That doesn't change the fact that sometimes you need to have multiple things done before you can release any part of it. Having Invincible Army ready to drop within 6 months of the Uprising book would probably have been ideal. It might be tough to make the Invincible Army release for GenCon, but Google-sensei says that Red Veil was released in 2016. An Operation:Kick Ass two-player starter might have been a bit tough, since you'd need to balance that around two of the more expensive starters, like Aleph or Neoterra (as CB has said that they will not do any of the aliens in a 2-player starter). So I'm kinda hoping for an Invincible Army 300pt army deal about this time next year. Assuming that the fluff hasn't pissed me off so bad that I quit the game and sell all my minis. Yes. Particularly since you could have sold an Operation: Urban Unrest (to keep a neutral name so as to not blatantly favor one side or the other) 2-player starter box with both IA and JSA in it. few months later, you sell the 'Beyond Urban Unrest' box with another 3 minis each side. Yes, I agree that CB has done fucked up and more importantly, is not doing a good job managing customer expectations. To use the fancy college words I paid way too much money to learn... I mean, if Invincible Army is close to done, release a model or two that is finished. Back in 2009, we started seeing new unit profiles about 6 months prior to the release of the Human Sphere book. And not just the profiles, but CB would release a never-before-seen model and the profile.
@Koni has already threatened to ban a bunch of people so, worse, I would say. They were the first to start suggesting boycotting the global campaign later in the year which after giving the situation thought is an action I'm on board for. I've read through the spanish forums, Google translate does a surprisingly decent job at making posts understandable.
Not quite the same level of infiltration, but the Kanren is a similar price range, with additional sniffer, hacker and FO capability.
